|
|
| Ive been taking neurontin for about 6 months now to treat my pain for fibromyalgia. I helps alot, it also helps me fall asleep very well too. I've heard about a new drug called Lyrica. Its supposedly a newer version of neurontin with less side effects. I was wondering if I should switch because i do get a little bit of drowsiness during the day, and a little bit of dizziness right when i take them |

| Hi, i believe Neurontin is one of the classic drugs they give you for pain management but i have never tried to take it for an extended period. Something about it just scared me and if you google it there are supposivly bad side effects. But then again that could be just that conspiracy theorist stuff. |

| i took it for about a year, its a pretty harmless drug. It helped with my pain and my sleep. But i had to abruptly get off of it for some lab test that i had to do. After it wore off i felt soo much anxiety and nervousness. I did some reading about it, you have to stop taking it gradually or you can get major anxiety, sleeplessness, or even seziures. |

| Most definetly. I am on Zoloft and being the anti-med person i am kept stopping it. BAD MOVE. Whole body was flipping out on me. Won't do that with anti-depressants again. |

| yeah, i use lyrica for pain and i find that there arent many side effects, except building up a tolerance. i take it with tramadol or ultram which is the best drug in the world! its pretty low key, but its a pain reliever that is non-narcotic, nonaddictive, no side-effects, nothing. it works well and i love it. i only wish that i knew more about how it works. |
