Hi Ashok,
Thank you so much for answering questions here, it’s much appreciated.
My query is about how this programme would apply to me. I’ve meditated and visualised myself healthy for years, am able to use my mind to relax muscles that are about to cramp, slow my pulse etc, I laugh a lot and my glass is not merely half full it overflows.
However when my system experiences a stress, say an unexpected cold breeze, it does over react. I manage to talk it down, breathe into etc and things calm quite quickly. However, the overactive stress response is still there and active. Losing motor function (not fatigue related) and acute brain pain on cognitive and sensory processing are my major issues.
I’ve watched the 3 youtube sessions and those people really don’t sound like me, the general emphasis on emotional stress and anxiety doesn’t seem to fit me either, plus in terms of health techniques and attitudes I already practise much of what you suggest. Still, I believe in the power of the mind so I’m considering it. Thing is I have only so much functional time- I think would have to give up other very helpful aspects of my regime.
So is it possible to say what you programme has to offer someone like me? (Who is emotionally calm and positive and sleeps like the proverbial baby but still has a disproportionate stress response- physiologiaclly speaking.)
Thnaks again,
JL |

Dear JL,
Thanks for your message. The programme can definitely help you, and let me explain why and how.
You have already identified that there is some kind of stress reaction or sensitivity reaction going on that seems out of your conscious control - this is absolutely what I am saying in my hypothesis. Yes, meditation can help which is why I prescribe it in my programme, but being generally calm is not enough, and meditation and visualisation by itself is not enough. The actual reactions have to be retrained, and that's where the techniques in the programme are very unique, and have been custom designed over many years of working with patients.
I have had many patients contact me with a similar question, asking whether the programme will help them if they are already meditating, especially people already using Trancendental Meditation (TM). They have gone on to make full recoveries using the programme, because there is a lot more in there! The likelihood is that actually you are not practising a lot of what is in the programme.
In terms of time taken, if you are already meditating then that's fine, you can continue with what works. The rest of the main retraining techniques in the programme do not take up much time, and can fit into a normal day. Obviously there is the time taken watching the DVDs, but hey, there's never really anything great on TV anyway!
As you may already know, the programme does come with a money back guarantee,
Warm regards
Ashok |

Okay, thanks Ashok. Compard to something like TM, what I do is more like 'targeted' meditation. Anyway, I guess the only way to know is to buy the dvd, and hopefully not need the refund
