I agree Neil. Total BS. I had everything going for me, I was blessed in life. Great family, great job, excellent health. This hit like a ton of bricks with what I thought was a simple flu bug. The problem is there are people who do suffer from fatigue caused by depression, which makes dedicated work to finding a cure that much harder. Because doctors deal with these people, they just assume we don't realize we must be suffering from a psychological disorder.

I was very much the same as yourself before i got ill, totally loved life. I had a great family, career, interests and freinds. I was barely unhappy before cfs, to think this is pyschological is insane especially for me. I'm a pretty normal guy far from someone who has mental problems. To me my illness fits in with some sort of virus maybe xmrv who knows.

It has to be, I'm still going to shell out the 400 bucks when they call me for XMRV test kit, and I pray to God I come back positive. I have no doubt that this is viral in nature, since nothing else, not antibiotic, anti anxiety or depressant, etc has done a single thing. Yes after a few years at first I caved when they said my problem was with imbalance, well guess what, after they tried like 10 different mind altering drugs none of which made a difference, they conceded. Then I left the clinic for a new one and found a good doctor. Powerless as he was to help me, at least he stated with certainty that my problem was not in my head.
