Feeling of inner trembling, ringing ears, anyone else?

Postby crmfghtr » Fri Jan 29, 2010 3:12 pm

When this thing hit me(literally overnight with head cold) I woke up with ears ringing, and a sort of inner trembling in body. The ringing has never stopped since. Does anyone else suffer from this and have it hit you instantly when it started, or is it possible my doctors and I have missed something?

i have something like this, plus other ENT related issues.

I went to see an ENT specialist due to feeling i had water moving around in my
ears. They thought i had fluid on the brain or swelling of the brain.
After a camera was put up my nose to check the tubes, they found
no ear problem at all and an mri scan showed nothing either, so the specialist
couldnt offer any advice on how to cure the ringing etc.

I still have the ringing in my ears and dizziness, the degree alters
from minute to minute. sometimes im very dizzy, other times less so.

Hope yours goes off soon, its hard to live with constant noises in your ears

This sounds like you have the conditon 'tinnitus' which is constant ringing in the ears. I don't think there is a cure unfortunatley i read about it in the hospital. I occasionally get ringing in the ears but it doesnt bother me too much. i am seeing an ENT specialist tommorow about the constant dizziness i am getting. hopefully i can get some help on this.

Well I identify with the inner trembling alright. But it seems only when I eat chocolate, or drink caffeinated drinks, have an illness on the way, or, or have an illness or a cold or even take antibiotics. I cant explain that, and my doctor suggested I was 'anxious' about something and recommended anti-depressants (which I didnt take). Occasionally I get the ringing in the ears, but I visualize a row of bell ringers. Then I say to them 'what do you want for me?' And it eventually stops"! Strange but true.

I notice ringing in my ears multiple times a week at least (they are ringing now actually). It doesn't bother me too much though; just one more strange thing going on with my body, that may or may not be related to CFS.

As for the inner trembling, I'm not sure what you mean. I do however get this weird sensation every once in a while that feels like my liver (if not my liver, then in that general vicinity) is trembling, maybe shaking off water like a dog . . .

Well by inner trembling its a feeling of vibration in the body. As for the ringing it started the first day I woke up after getting a cold, the first most noticeable symptom, and a feeling of fogginess. My dentist has found I grind my teeth in my sleep and this can be a cause of the ringing, and a sleep disorder. Its possible my whole problem could stem from this. I have now tried two things, a prescribed muscle relaxant and a device called grind alert that tells you how much you grind. The use of the muscle relaxant actually increased the grinding. The grind alert gives off a tone that is supposed to make you stop but unfortunately my ringing is so loud it does little to wake me up or stop. If this is indeed the cause of my whole mess, then my onset with a cold may have just intensified a problem that was already there but not noticeable yet. Another indication that CFS in all of us could have different causes. Just a theory at this point however.

i have the feeling of inner trembling, i wake up with it about once a week. i suspect it is some abnormality of the nervous system. occasional ringing in the ears which doesn't last long. if you find a cure for these symptoms, please do let us know!

Yes I'm sure right about this Annie. It must be the nervous system. If I clench my jaw I can feel the muscles trembling in my ears, and if I tense any other muscles before long they start trembling too. Its almost like at a cellular level the battery has gone flat. All we need now is a solution.

I have ringing in my ears recently, and a "trembly" feeling overall, as well as shaky hands. It seems to be worse late at night before I go to bed, and in the morning. I know this is an old thread.. Did anyone figure out what was causing their symptoms?

I had deafening ringing in my ears for about 9 months. I went to two doctors who didn't even bother looking in my ears as I had CFS! Then a nurse said my ears were full of wax and that pressing against the eardrum caused the ringing. I've also heard it can mean the kidneys are stressed...so it's good to give up caffeine, vitamins, etc, and drink pure water. If it's not wax, then it's probably another symptom of the nervous system being overwhelmed. There are approaches to CFS that aim to calm the nervous system down...and things like meditation might help. Hope it's not too loud...mine was light a freight train!
