Dropped the Water Cure

Postby kenvj » Sun Mar 07, 2010 4:25 pm

I've had to drop the Water Cure - firstly I could not afford all the alternative meds required for the full program. I was just going along with the salt and water alone plus a small amount of iodine(about 1mg) and a few alt meds that I normally take and this was causing me severe detox symptoms, including fatigue. This is my first day off it and I am still very weak and fatigued.
I intend go back to base and start again with Modifilan.
To recap - I decided to start Modifilan because I felt I needed to detox. The base dose as a supplement was 3 to 6 capsules - 10 to 12 caps for detox. I found it difficult to tolerate even 1 cap a day because of detox symptoms, even then I had a modest but distinct improvement in energy. I found out that the probable reason for the improved energy was that Modifilan was rich in iodine and thyroid supporting minerals and vitamins. I then decided to help it out by supplementing with iodine - I went up to about 2 mgs of iodine with a mix of Lugols and Nascent and then the short lived but wonderful few days of full recovery ending in really severe insomnia. While I was trying to figure out what I should do I was advised to check out the Water Cure and this seemed to offer a real way forward (I still think it would be a great thing to do) - so I tried it - and now I'm back here again.
I'm going back onto Modifilan and when I feel settled I'll introduce iodine again and see if I can balance it out.
I'm certain that iodine one way or the other is the way forward for me. I'm also certain that I suffer from what Dr Brownstein calls "Hidden Hypothyroidism" or what Dr Wilson calls his Temperature Syndrome.
I'll find a way to get well before I die - or I'll die trying!!!!!!!!

Hi Ken,
Sorry the protocol did not work out for you.
Have you looked at the site Stop the Madness....it is a great thyroid site http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ also Dr. Lowe and Dr. Rind.

Do you take Lugols Iodine drops. How many? I take 2 and tyrosine for my thyroid.

I spent a year following stop the thyroid madness, that led me nowhere unfortunately.

I just bought everything to start liver flushing regularly, I saw a lot of person, probably 15 people, regular posters, not on time testimonials, on curezone who are roughly free of symptoms after 10 to 20 flushes (you do once every two weeks), cfs and fibro cases, some had both.

It might not be the cure, meaning if you stop or eat badly like normal people do it will probably come back to some degree, but many are doing great doing those, I did only one in the past.

It does make sense to me to help the liver first (and bowel), taking a bunch of meds and supp only put more load on the liver. I done trying that.

My new protocol will be :

Oil pulling 2x a day
Liver flush once every 2 weeks
Lugol 50 mg a day
thyroid meds, no choice here
good diet, not to much dairy, no gluten
After a few flushes, a parasite cleanse like Humaworm

I won't hurt, hopefully it will help. My mood is much higher after only 5 days of oil pulling, mu gums are pink now and I have some pretty weird eczema on my hand since I started it. All good signs :)

I will have a look at that website thanks Nia.
Well the only med that has really helped me is Modifilan. I have seen some testimonials on line where they have made a full recovery from Hypothyroidism using Modifilan alone. I'm going to stick with that, after all I was on such a small amount and getting some result it would make sense that if I stick it out through the detox symptoms I could get much better.
