Insomnia

Postby kenvj » Sun Mar 14, 2010 4:22 pm

I have never suffered from Insomnia before. All through my years with CFS I have always had drowsiness problems, in the worst periods I've slept heavily at night - still felt drowsy when I got up and sometimes had to sleep for an hour in the morning and a couple of hours in the afternoon with all kinds of brain fog. For the last few weeks I've been detoxing quite a lot and a week ago I started to sleep poorly (I've now stopped taking all my alt meds). Now I'm only getting 3 to 3-1/2 hours sleep a night. I don't get the old drowsiness and brain fog but I am very very tired throughout the day. I just can't figure out what I can do about it. Has anyone here ever overcome an insomnia problem?

Hi!

I had terrible insomnia a while ago, I fell asleep with medication but slept only few hours and woke up again.. then i tried very strong stress-b-vitamin complex and insomnia cured! I have taken normal vitamin b but that wasn´t enough, i guess with cfs, the body is in huge stress and needs lot of stress vitamins.
I gave this tip to a friend, who didn´t get help from sleep medications and she said, that has slept a lot better now too.

I hope this helps you too!

p.s I am detoxing too and slowly getting better. Taking kombu-seaweed for iodine, superfoods (gojiberries, macaroot, wheatgrass, aloe vera, coconut oil), 100 mikrograms vitamin D ja strong vitamin B-complex. And doing Gupta too. Never felt happier
