Liver Flush

Postby kenvj » Mon Mar 15, 2010 6:46 pm

I'm wanting to do a liver flush but I don't really want the whole hog with gallbladder flush as well.
There is a recipe for a Liver Flush on this website's blog -
http://www.chronicfatiguetreatments.com ... ver-flush/
I'm hoping that this is just for the liver only.
Has anyone done this, how did it go and did it make a difference.
The reason I want to do this is that I've been told that its always best to clean the detox pathways if you are going to detox and the liver is the main pathway.
Anyone got a better Liver Flush?

i havent done it for a while. Im not sure if its just the liver or gallbladder also. It did kind of make me feel a little better. Its not the best tasting thing i ever had either. You need to drink it fast.

Hi CFT - did you pass any gallstones when you did this flush? I read that any liver flush also affects the gall bladder.

I didnt pass anything. I was hoping i would.
It just made me feel better overall, so i did it 3 times a week for a while. I think your only supposed to do it 1 a month or so.

Thanks CFT - can you please tell me how you went about it? Did you start in the early morning or late afternoon or when? Did you drink the whole lot at once or over a period of time in several goes?
Would appreciate any other information about it.

I have tried this and it made me feel really really unwell. I had a glass of the stuff one morning and I was gripping my stomach in agony for hours. I think the raw garlic doesnt suit some people's constitution, and known negative side effects include nausea and vomiting, explosive diarrhea and abdominal cramps.Theoretically, the liver flush may be unsafe for people who have gallstones. The large amount of oil causes the gallbladder to contract, making it possible for a gallstone to become lodged in the narrow opening of the gallbladder and necessitate emergency gallbladder surgery.

On the other hand I know a dozen people who have taken it as part of a detox regime every few months and it seems to get the system flushing quickly.

I did it at night and just drank the whole thing at once. It made me feel kind of nauseous afterwards the 1st few times that i did it. I think from the detox. But i got used to it after a while.
I think the ginger in it is supposed to help your stomach, but not necessary for the detox.

I've been having a look at some other liver flushes and it makes me wonder a bit about the oil in this one, there seems to be a very large amount of oil.
