I saw a link to this page from this site
http://www.meactionuk.org.uk/magical-medicine.pdf
Now i feel totally depressed, if its as bad as this and we are all as bad as having aids and cancer and will die at an early age of heart diease then we might as well give up now/.
I have had cfs for thirteen years and am haveing a relaspe after emigrating to australia in oct. i want to get better and live my life go back to work but as we get older things are going to go wrong. why cant they give us any treatment if they know it does all these horrible things to us. and there are still doctors every where who think it s all in the mind. dont read it i now feel really fed up .

My advice is not to read this stuff at all it really does depress you. Keep busy and make sure you keep your mind off CFS for a while because this will just keep you locked into negative thoughts all the time. I so wish there was treatement as well.

Scampie - The best advice you will get here - go buy the Gupta Program!

When I do recover fully you will know about it via various integrative techniques including Gupta.

The truth is it takes time!

Hi scampie. Emerald is right. People get better to the point where they go and get on with their lives. That dosnt make for interesting news. The specialist im seeing who has around 60 people on his books at anytime went through a list of people he has seen/is seeing, their severity and how long it took for them to get back to a state of normality...and they faid into the distance..cant blame them. Bad news sells. When i first started trawling the net for information my heart sank. Now im furious and, when i can be bothered with enough energy, there are certain websites i aim to attack like hell...its terrible. I imagine some people who dont even have cfs write about it as they have nothing else better to do...but the effects on those of us who have it and read them is awful.
Try and keep your chin up im sure you are doing better than you think. I need other people to gauge me sometimes and they remind me of what i can do now compared to a while back.

Thank you for posting this link. I agree with everyone that we shouldn't obsess about the bad things this illness does to us. We live one day at a time and some days are good. I'm thankful for those few. What makes me more incensed than few treatment options or an early death is that pretty much no one believes we're really ill. We're just lazy or stupid and we don't want to carry our load (at work, at home, with our friends, etc.)
