relaspse and hyperthriodism

Postby scampie » Wed Aug 18, 2010 5:43 pm

I have has chronic fatigue for 13 years , cannot work and use a wheelchair ooutdoors as my balence has been a major problem. We emigrated from the uk last oct for a betterlife. so far its been awlfull, so stressfull, very lonly, my husband cannot find a decent job and cost of living very high. We now wish we had stayed in the uk. anyway i have gradually got worse since arrival, i am sure its stress but now diagnosed with graves disease apparently my blood tests have been wrond for six years, so not sure wether my symptoms are from chronic fatigue or thyriod. Only way i found out was having a radio active scan otherwise everything else was normal. I am so tired, cant walk, very unsteady on my feet and the anxiety and panic attacks are constant, i feel on hyperdrive anxiety wise all the time it never goes. I used to get occasional anxiety attacks but not all day every day. its made my blodd pressure go up as well.
I was on half tabletof effexor in uk but cannot get tablets here only capsules so cant take half dose and cannot take it on thyriod drugs. Any ideas on how to cope with the stress and anxiety? I tried relaxation tapes, acupuncture and herbalists.
Does any one else suffer from feeling like your head and body dont go together when your walking? i cannot walk on my own without holding on to something its weird. any way feeling pretty bad as not sure is its a relapse from all the stress of emigrating or whats going on? any advice would be helpful thanks

Hi Scampie,
I know exactly how you feel in a new country. My symptoms got worse when I went to Canada. Sounds like it is all to do with stress. This is a great country so dont give up yet. What I am concentrating on now is lots of meditation. I am doing EFT a lot from You Tube and have my favourite people. Google You Tube Robert Smith EFT.....great educator. There is David Childerly from the UK and he may make you feel at home. http://www.mygenie.tv/public/49.cfm (click on the red box beside) I love tuning into to him and some of the others to tap like Brad Yates who does one for good health. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar1G_cnL ... re=related. Childerly has another he does EFT with Law of Attraction also. I go down the list on this You Tube site or Law of Attraction and just do the tapping from anyone who wants to teach me FREE......loving it.

This stuff is definitely powerful. I do Gupta www.cfsrecovery.com as well and when you know the philosophy behind what he is espousing, you can realize so much of our symptoms are brought on purely thru stress. Some of them he says are just "symptoms".....try not to give them energy unless they are serious. Yes my head and legs dont go together sometimes and that is when I am under stress, sometimes it is my adrenal hormones. Moving is akin to death and divorce....just as stressful so say the experts. What ever names they give these illnesses, like Graves disease, they all end up being auto immune.

Right now your sub conscious is telling you that you dont feel safe.....new neighbourhood, no friends to quickly meet up with, no one you can pick up the phone and have a quick yarn to as you are isolated., husband job uncertainty. This is HUGE stress. Moving countries takes its toll. However if you can recognize that and tell yourself it will all pan out in the end.....things are going to improve if you can just "let go". Your husbands job prospects WILL improve. I saw this when I worked with refugees in Canada, lowly jobs in the beginning and a few yrs later they had their own businesses.

If you feel the need to talk there is the NSW CFS society...think they have a 24 hr line for sick people, http://www.me-cfs.org.au/

I would also advise you to try EFT - I've just bought the book and I'm most impressed http://www.eftuniverse.com/
You could also try the Gupta Program.
