What works for goodness sake

OK I am in Australia but am willing to travel i dont care where but def uk would be the easiest as i have family there.

I am willing to try most things but like to research before I go ahead, I have been reading this board and there is all sorts of GBA, CFA, ATX etc cant rem all the acronyms and have no idea what all the acronyms even mean. But when you look into the posts and treatments there are so many ifs and butts and to many ppl saying yeah it was ok but...

I am not anxious although i have suffered from it in the past, I do not have depression although that too i have suffered from but i am absolutely exhausted beyond comprehension and easily sleep 18 hrs a day. I have three kids so often dont get the uninterrupted sleep i need i just muddle through the CF as i just cant get that 18 hrs every day or even every second day. I am back at university and love it but am finding it so hard to keep up as my memory is terrible and my concentration is crappy and i have trouble even focussing my eyes in the text on a page.

Pleaseeeee i really need some suitable advice, there is no treatment programs in Australia but there is an extremely successful adolescent program that is modelled from hospital programs in the UK. In fact a lot of the literature in Aust says that this protocol etc is based on treatment programs in the UK but i cant seem to find any great hospital programs in the UK now i have started looking - helpppppppppp please

The best thing you can do at this time is to buy the Gupta Program http://www.cfsrecovery.com/
You could also try EFT but firstly try the Gupta Program, it has helped a lot of people here.
Best of luck. Its doubtful that traveling to another will achieve anything.

I second this, I know how hard it is to make your mind and buy this because we are in a society which is really not open to all this but it will at least help you greatly if not heal you completely. Good luck!

you have to read the link, you'll see how the brain works on the physical issues, people who had viruses etc saw great results with the Gupta programme. one of my friend was housebound before doing Gupta and at the same time, she was seeing a doctor, she had real physical issues and well with right supplements, healthy diet and gupta, she's now up and about. She basically had a lot of intolerances, so she ruled out all the food intolerances she had (gluten, dairies, eggs etc) and many deficiencies etc, she's sure that Gupta plays a role in at least 50% of her recovery. She's not fully recovered but she's so much better, only sleeps 8 hours a night..

I'm also a big fan of what Gupta is going for. You should definitely try his techniques, but my only recommendation is that you feel free to tailor them in ways that you find most beneficial. This is controversial on this board, but seeking a cognitive behavioral therapist is also-- to me at least-- a great idea.

In the meantime, if you're at university, I'd imagine that the vast majority of your stress comes from not being able to study and get things done. So, see if you can get a prescription for adderall. It's not at all a long-term fix, but for many of us, it brings us back to 100% for a few glorious hours (and knowing that you have it in your back pocket relieves a lot of stress!)

yes I think what's horrible is the thought that u wont be ok enough to do things. Since i have CFS that's my biggest fear, I hate it! Like tomorrow I have to be fit enough to look after two kids from lunchtime till 9pm and well as it stressed me out, I will probably have trouble sleeping, which will make me feel horrible all day. typical! grrr i hate it! ill do some EFT now!

Treatement by the national health service for cfs is not very good at all. They treat cfs as a mental illness like scitzophrenia well thats what i was told by the doctor.

I was refered to a homeopathic doctor after a lot of arguing and persuading my doctor. Other than that the only other treatement i receive is from an occupational threapist who is helping me change my routine and get prepared for university. She is a great help but the treatement is nothing out of the ordinary.

I would probably rather go to the usa for treatement there are even cfs and fatigue centres where they give you treatement for a couple months.

All i experience here in the uk is complete ignorance for this illness.

You could look into the actual cause of your problems like I did, and get completely 100% better. Sure sounds like mercury or copper to me based upon your post. I have mercury toxicity and iron overload. Look into Andrew Cutler's books on the subject. Anyone who tells you it's in your head or there is some sort of program that will cure you is wrong. There is some sort of toxin interfering with your body and you need to eliminate it. Chances are it's mercury or copper or lead or some other heavy metal/toxin. Get a hair test through DDI and buy Andy Cutler's books. It will change your life.
