niaholt...i agree.
i also feel this is where some miss the point...gupta isnt just about headstuff, it directly affects the physical abnormalities in the body via adressissing parasympathetic. until the body can shift into this, there is not a snowballs chance in hell of it EVER regaining homeostasis...no matter what treatment you hit it with.
A brief example from me will illustrate. it is well known i take 20 mg of dexamphetamine per day. when i first started on this medication, i was doing gupta A LOT. This "settled" the body down, and allowed the medication to work much more effectively. on those days i forgot gupta, or when stress had triggered "an attack", the dex was useless! it was just smashed to bits...written straight over the top like it wasnt even there. to the "traditional" way of thinking, how could that be? Still tired after 20mg of amphetamine? Ridiculous! But i was tired...crushed. ALL the symptoms RAPIDLY piling back in...until i once again settled the body with gupta. and that sometimes meant 3 days of stops, at HUNDREDS per day.
I hear some people say; "im not doing hundreds per day"
Why not?
you gotta be ready to do anything. i know that's hard when you feel like absolute shite!! But that's the point you have to get to. whats your other option?
If you are just fooling about with gupta...stop it!
give it a REAL go. part of the problem is that little voice that is so scared it wont work that you dont make a start. or if you do, and then find that not much happens, you say..."there i told you so". and so you sink deeper into despair. Do the stops with ABSOLUTELY NO EMOTIONAL INVESTMENT IN ANY OUTCOME.
When you have a glass of water, you don't get all concerned that somehow your cells are not going to know what to do with that hydration...they just do it. NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. Approach gupta in the same way. do it and dont care less. its not about fixing your head, although you will start to see some amazing patterns in your thinking. stuff that you simply COULD NOT SEE before. I can see those patterns in some of the writing of some forum contributors. i had them...still often do. and when i do...again, i cant see them. until, i go back to my basics! GET THE BODY ONTO PARASYMPATHETIC. NO HEALING CAN TAKE PLACE WITHOUT THIS AS A START POINT. Not possible.
i look forward to the accelerator program.
for those who gupta GENUINELY hasnt helped (didnt say cure) at all, i wish i had the answer.
We continue our journey...

Bill,
That Michael Rowland stuff is VERY good. I have always believed my problem was subconscious thoughts. Sometimes I would wait all day to have a negative thought...busy going around amusing myself and not doing too many STOPS. Then when I talked to the NZ woman in the wheelchair who got well, she said she did not have them either but she carried on with the program any way.....not much time for all the meditations as she has 4 children.

I found if I just did the program anyway it worked better. Ashok said not to do this. If I read correctly Rowland said if we have poor relationships, problems etc usually we have lots of unconscious negative thoughts although we are not aware it is happening. When you try to change the negative unconscious you meet resistance and things can get worse before getting better.

When you do the 100s of STOPS a day, do you do the full program...right now I cant manage all the full program all the time.

Of course Gupta isnt a CURE by itself.

If you have a alot of emoton this will have to be worked via a COACH to resolve these issues

I agree with you, I think we need these techniques to help us heal through medications or whatever. It's a very good basis/start to do so. The problem I have is that (I think I've explained this before) is that I can't bring myself to do the meditation, I4m all the time hyper, having to watch telly then go on the internet then do the washing up etc, and even when I dont do anything I can't bring myself to STOP thinking as if I was scared of sthg I dont know cos at the same time I do EVERYTHING to get better, except this. I do the eFT wich is the same basis as the stop stop stop as I let go of the thought/feeling as soon as it comes up and somerone told me that it was very important for CFS sufferers to let go of the negative stuff coming up as this is not beeing added to our actual state. I realize that when I dont do EFT for a few days, the stress and everything is back again, I feel better when doing the EFT for sure or stop stop stop, its the same for me.. I really feel we need to address our emotions. Still some people say they are fine and never had problems before CFs so I dont know but I guess we all ahve problems and even things we wouldn't see as a problem could actually trigger a strong response on the subconscious levels.. I think we should never stop doing these techniques, until we are fully better, t works for some people so why not us? Believe in it is also important I suppose..
Good luck to everyone!
