I agree about going mad from the internet. Over the last 15 years I have diagnosed myself with like a dozen different causes. candidis, sleep disorder, IBS, food intolerance, stress, xmrv, stomach virus, allergy, mercury poisoning, etc etc etc. The things I have put my body through to test each and everyone of these is absurd. I have basically given up, not one thing ever helped me a bit, all I did was spend thousands of hard earned dollars on theories and conjecture. Fact is if someone found the cause and had a treatment they would be a millionaire!

Basically what you're all saying is that a wide variety of things end up pushing you in the same direction - Fatigue. For whats its worth I think that all those different triggers are doing the same thing in the end - they are forcing the Sympathetic Nervous System into overdrive which all boils down to that cause of all things bad - Stress. Its not just things that affect the gut but also problems like OCD, and Anxiety Disorder which are co-morbid with Austism. I have suffered hell because of these personality faults. But there is some evidence that gluten could be the basic motivator - OCD and Anxiety appear to be common with people who have Celiac Disease and these people get an improvement when they go gluten free, which once again brings us back to the gut, but then again where the hell does XMRV come in?
