This may be of interest to some. I read Seabiscuit and saw the film. I find her a great inspiration, not that I can write. She is very good publicity for M.E /C.F.S too.

It seems harder and harder to hide CFS anymore from the media now, which is a great thing.

I saw a great TV coverage recently about insurance problems (in French though) and CFS also, people are certainly becoming more informed about the existence of the disease.

I just cant imagine how I would cope now without the intenet. At least now we all have a collective voice. Her writing gave her an identity behind the 4 walls just like the forums do for us.

This is a great article very moving. Being honest it made me very emotional because I have experienced a great deal of suffering just like laura. She sounds like an amazing person its so tragic that she got cfs. I really hope this helps get the recognition for the illness. one thing i noticed is that someone posted something about being tested for xmrv in response to the article.

it said: Thank you for this article. I have CFS too. I recently tested positive for a new retrovirus (like HIV) called XMRV. I recommend anyone with CFS investigate the research into CFS and XMRV.

This is interesting as i feel the same way. I think everyone who has CFS should be tested its very important in research for the illness. I don't believe that everyone who has CFS will test positive but im sure there will be some people who will and im sure its extremely important for them to know.
