CFS-XMRS etc

Right,

I recently met someone on a forum who's also Belgian and who also consulted the most famous CFS healer (hum hum) and ended up WORSE. Indeed, after a year and a half on heavy medcication like antibiotics etc, she got even worse, he tried everything on her and promised her she would get better but of course she didnt. She got tested for the famous virus and it was negative but he told her the test was not reliable and she was positive to it most probably. When she found out she had a thyroid problem, she also went to see an endocrinologist and she made the mistake (or not depending on your point of view) to tell the CFS doctor that she went to see that endo, he got mad at the things the endo told her and said he would write him a paper about CFS cos he knew nothing about it. LAter, she got a paper at home from the CFS doc saying he wouldn't treat her anymore as she was now treated by this endocrinologist so in a word, he just threw her out like a rubbish, what a jerk!

I saw that doctor, so MANY people with CFS want to see him because he's known world wide, STILL I know not one single person who was cured with his treatments. My mum knew his daughter, who was ill with CFS that's how he actually tried to understand the illness cos originally he's a cardiologist and although she was better for a while, she got so so bad the last time my mum saw her and was sleeping for 17 a day. I also know another woman treated by him and she didnt get any better, she spent her days in bed. And now this woman, who spent an arm and a leg in his tests and treatments, because his tests are run in independant labs and cost so much money, I myself spent over 2000 euros just in tests, after the first treatment, my results were even worse than the first time and that's when I thought I should stop there and run away and Im glad I did, you know what? because antibotics or any other heavy treatment will never cure CFS, because CFS is so complex and needs to be addressed differently through multiple therapies, diet changes, stress reducing techniques, adrenal and thyroid support medications etc etc according to the main problem of each and everyone of us.

Also I think CFS is not a diagnosis, I really believe that we have different pathologies that make us tired and doctors just dont want to see what's wrong, also because it's a lot of money to treat people, they wont run tests for ex because it costs money so we're all depressed to them, it's easier that way. When we do run tests properly and interpret them properly we can see what is wrong exactly, that is why so many people have thyroid issues but doc wont see it because they only check TSH for ex. T4 and T3 cost money for the health insurance. Same with adrenals,, same with intolerances, they never check t, only allergies which have nothing to do with ntolerances.

I'm sad Ken left, this is a shame, we should support each other instead of being nasty. The Gupta programme at least helps some people, unlike allopathy as stated above.

I would never go down the allopathic route as you said medications can sometimes make you worse and their is no gurantee they work. Plus we really don't know what is wrong with CFS at the moment. Doctors can give you false promises just so you spend more money with them or be their guinea pig. If research found a virus which was 100% the cause then i would take medicine but this hasn't been proven yet.

I chose to use herbal treatements and there slowly working. I went to a herbal clinic/hospital in India everything they treat you with is natural and will not cause nasty side effects. The products have helped improve my energy and reduce my pain. The doctor told me he can cure me in about a year of taking medicine. I'm going to see how it goes. They havent however helped my dizziness which is still a big problem.

Other Herbal medicine I tried was from Napiers. They have a store where I live. I had a consultation then they decide what ingredients to treat you with. It's quite fairly priced at £25 for a months supply of liquid. It's definitley worth going if you havent been before. This helped me a lot with my fatigue and brain fog.

Herbal medicine never gets a mention on here it's a shame because its really helped me and im sure it will help others.

i totally agree with you Neil, Im also a pro herb medecine, and didnt know you were going that path.So you went all the way to India? or do you actually live there? u're from the UK right?
I dont really know any doc who does that here I mean treating with herbs cos it's different from homeopathy and it's deffo worth a try.
I met Alice last year in December and when I was waiting for her, I saw there was a shop or sthg where they were selling chinese herbs, I think it was chinese anyway but you had to consult one of their "doctors" beforehand so I stopped to have a look and a girl came out to ask if I was interested.. anyway dunno what's worth? I guess we must be careful of these things..

Good luck with the herbs then, my dizziness is bad too, sometimes I wonder if it's not linked to the adrenals.. we'll see..

Yeah i went all the way to India for treatement as the UK is not very good. It really helped me. I spent 15 days there for treatement they give you massages, herbs, special food for these days, they even make you sick. It's kind of a detox after the 15 days I was virtually pain free but the pain came back once i was back home as i was eating bad foods here.

You should try Napiers clinic they runs clinics all over the UK check with their website.

Really interested that you went to India for treatment, Neil. Was this the place Fiona Agombar talks about in her yoga book? What a shame you regressed.
Thank you for the herb link. I have used herbs in the past and it's good to be reminded of them again. I do think one needs an expert though so many of them sound as though they do everything. Baldwins in London are very helpful over the phone and very reasonable too.
