Risperdal at low dose = success !

Postby nonol » Thu May 14, 2009 11:05 pm

Hello,
Have somebody tried antipsychotics like Risperdal ?

I take Risperdal at low dosage (0.5mg/day) and I have totally recovered from my idiopathic fatigue (chronic fatigue following a mononucleosis).

My case is not unique. I posted this news on other forums, 4 persons with fibromyalgia with debilating fatigue tried it, and it works !
Their fatigue has nearly dissapeared !
For one person : no action on pain. For the other 3, pain was reduced largely !

I specify that, although I take an antipsychotic drug, I have never been touched by depression ou psychosis.

Rgds

i went to a dr. named jay goldstein who was giving drugs that changed brain chemistry to treat cfs. I tried risperdal, and about 100 other drugs.
They didnt work for me, but i did meet some peopel that they did work for.

The drug that helped people the most, was a drug called ketamine. which is an anminal traqualizer and is now used in clubs as a party drug.

From what he told me most of the drugs that helped cfs patients, either directly or indirectly affected a certain receptor in the brain called the nmda receptor.
If its overstimulated, it generates nitric oxide and free radicals.(from what i undrstand)

Have you ever tried armour thyroid?
I bet that would help if ritalin helps you.
A dr. im seeing now, that has cfs, is doing well on armour thyroid.

Ive tried ritalin before, and it didnt work for me because im really sensitive to stimulants. (jittery, insomnia)
Also modafinil aka provigil, is a newer stimulant, with way less side effects.
hope it works out for you

I havent yet. But if people keep saying how well they are doing, i might have to try it. I watched the youtube videos and thought is wasnt for me, but Ive had too many ups and downs lately. I would like to try something else.
Hopefully everything kepps working well with you. good luck
