Any dealings with Holtorf Medical Group?

Postby suzanne524 » Sat Sep 12, 2009 6:20 pm

Has anyone dealt with the Holtorf Medical Group in Foster City, CA? They have a great looking & sounding website but I know that doesn't mean anything. My husband called & a consult is $540. I don't want to go unless I hear from someone who has actually dealt with them.

Thanks!

Hi Suzanne,

I just had my second vist with them and am already feeling much better so I am very happy. I was refered by a friend who was really helped by them. I have suffered for over 10 years going from Dr. to Dr. and put on the typical antidepressants and Lyrica, which made me feel worse. They do LOTS of testing and not jsut the usual stuff. I was found to have so many abnormalities including low thryoid (had numerous tests that said I was normal), herpes 6 and my blood was clotting too much. I started on T3 and felt about 30% better after a few weeks, which was the first thing that has helped in years. I was given a globulin shot, which really helped and then I was put on a very small dose of heparin a few weeks ago. My brain is now working!Yea. Its been great for me. They explained eveything. I haven't even got to some of the issues yet but I have improved so much already.

I have been going to Holtorf Medical Group for a year now. I was able to return to work. I am up now 6 out of 7 days a week. Dr. Laufer listens and does extensive lab work. He is very encouraging and has been able to perscribe the proper treatment. I was very, very sick when I went to Holtorf, needing a miracle. I know it costs alot of money and I sold my home and have relocated in order to afford the medications. I even had to move away from my family but it was that or be miserable. I chose to live and be a member of the human race and not locked up in my home in bed. What you read on their website is true.

I've also been going to Holtorf for almost a year. While my improvements haven't been as fast as I like, it's still better than the absolute ZERO of recovery I had been experiencing before. I also saw Dr. Laufer and he is amazing. Very kind and thoughtful, going above and beyond in concern for his patients. And the treatment protocols are thorough and make a lot of sense. I highly recommend anyone to go see them!
