I am currently researching the connection between CFS and previous dental surgeries.
I was wondering if anyone suffering from CFS has had a previous oral surgery. Especially, impacted wisdom tooth extraction. There seems to be a connection between cavitations and chronic ilness such as cfs. fibro and other endocrine disorders. A person can have a cavitation without any pain in the socket.
If you reply, please tell what kind of dental history you had.
If you want any other information on this topic, the book "The root of a disease" has some answers.

I havent heard about this before. Usually when people talk about chronic illness and dental problems, they mean having problems from mercury fillings.
Are you talking about a chronic infection in a cavitation from dental surgery? If so ive never heard about it, but am interested in learning more because i have a root canal.
If you have any more info on this let us know
thanks

I think my symptoms started very gradually (over 10 years) since I had my first mercury fillings in.

I was 100% before that era. Just little things like hypoglycemia and fainting, a bit of TMJ, came on not too long after I had them done.

I think it took a lot of alcohol and too many late nights, over years, to actually push me into CFS, but I do think the fillings may have been a significant body burden for some time.

Not had them out yet. Heard horror stories about leaving them in and having them out!

Some people think detoxing, replacing nutrients/minerals, and allowing the body time to recover can be enough. One guy I remember who seemed to know a lot about mercury problems thought chelating agents were a bad idea; much more into FIR sauna therapy. (which has cured CFS'ers.)

I had oral surgery in October 1996 to remove an impacted tooth. Then I got metal braces. As my username implies, I got CFS two years later in late 1998 (almost spontaneously, accompanied by Epstein-Barr infection). I also have 9 amalgam fillings. I got 3 in 1995 and had about one more per year from 1996 to 2001. I do not have any root canals.

I noticed a tendency to get lightheaded and dizzy upon standing after my first fillings were put in (only recently did I realize that), but before the impacted tooth surgery. I still can't figure out if my dental health has anything to do with CFS. I have taken the MELISA test and a hair analysis and do not seem to have a problem with mercury. I might try a DMSA challenge test next. If I have an infection in my jaw where the tooth was removed how would I know and how would I fix it?

i came down with chronic fatigue 12 years ago. definitely sudden onset. the week prior my wisdom teeth were so inflamed at times i could not open my mouth. the night before the big collapse, my heart seemed to flutter...an arrythmia, or i have heard that dental problems can affect the heart.
hope this helps!

Hello Everyone,
I am a Bio-Resonance practitioner trained in Germany. I do dental tests on my patients using the bio-resonance machine to assess the electrical current in the mouth. Mercury fillings cause the so called Galvanic Phenomenon in the mouth making mercury to leak into the digestive tract and blood/lymph circulation. This is pretty bad long-term. Ideally you don't want that nasty stuff in your body.
Dental health is also important in your condition because the bacteria may constantly drip into your system.
And another point: each tooth in your mouth is connected to an acupunture meridian. Unhealthy tooth can block the energy flow in the corresponding meridian. Blocked energy can cause distortions in the integrity of the body's information field. This can obviously affect your body immunity.
