| its kind of hard to say from what you wrote, especially after haviing it only a month. You can only really tell that you have chronic fatigue, because you have taken every other lab test and they rule out the diagnosis of any other type of illness. There is no lab test that will say you have chronic fatigue. You should go to the doctor and get a physical to try an rule out any other cause. |

It appears you have something causing you to be 'fatigued' but believe me if you have CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME you would know it and most likely wouldn't even have to ask. Or you'd be in the hospital freaking out, the would run all kinds of tests telling you that nothing appears to be wrong etc etc.
I know there is different severeties of CFS. I hope you figure out what is causing your fatigue |

| ..please I was wondering if someone could tell me if they think that I may have chronic fatigue syndrome. I've had something wrong with me for about a year and a half now maybe two years, and at first things started with a little bit of cognitive imparation, and things just went down the hill from there. It was hard for me to sleep, I was always fatigued, and then the fatigue grew to a new severness, where it is hard for me even to get up, and when I do, I can't explain it, but it feels like something in my body just isn't working right. I get these horrible severe headaches sometimes, I have many depresison and anxiety disorder symptoms, I somedays can't even walk down the stairs it gets so bad. My body is just and has shut down, and will not function. I can't even explain it. Besides all of the physical symptoms, whats even worse is the mental effects. I can't even explain all my symptoms, there too difficult. At first I thought that maybe it was something else, and all my doctors thought I was crazy, and then maybe I thought I was too, but then I searched for months, on what my symptoms could relate to, and it came to this. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I am so glad I found out what it could be, because now that I think I might now, then maybe I can start treatment. Please give me your input on this situation, and I know that I do have depression, but this is associated with what I have.. So please, I am desperete. I've cried so many nights because all of this is too much. Please someone help me. I'm only 15 and I can't keep living like this..... |

There's no real test to prove that you have chronic fatigue syndrome or not. Pretty much the way that you know you have it is if all of the other tests come back negative. You definately should get a complete checkup by you doctor, make sure he checks your thyroid and adrenals. If you have thyoid problems it can cause depression too. But definatley get a full physical. Then if he doesnt find anything, try to find a doctor that treats chronic fatigue. Its not easy to find someone that does, but you just have look hard and try to find someone that is good and will not just tell you all your symptoms are because of depression
good luck

youve just gotta keep searching until you find the answer. Its not easy, but just be persistant and you will find things that will help your concentration, (vitamins, supplements) and energy problems. But definately get a check up and make sure nothing else is wrong with you. Check for thyroid problems, if thats your problem, you can take thyroid hormone and feel better

| you just have to start reading about it as much as you can because there's no definative test of now. Try to find a good doctor, you might not find the righ one on the first try but keep looking |

Based on what you've written sounds like some kind of viral illness. As every one else mentioned, go to your doctor. I would assume it was CFS if you were having memory problems, insomnia, or another symptom. Obviously its impossible to know but at this stage I suspect some kind of viral infection that your body can't shake.
