i havent tried it, but that is definately something that i would consider. Since that is what dr pall took and recovered himself. Ive take co-q 10 and it seemed to help. I want to try again and take all of them at the same time.
Co-Q10 is kind of expensive, im not sure about the other ones though

i had my anti-oxidant levels tested and they were low. I take vitcmin c and NAC, but maybe i should try the other vitamins that are on the protocol

Kisseragi - 1.5g Vitamin C is not enough. Take L-Ascorbic Acid to bowel tolerance.
See this http://www.mall-net.com/cathcart/cfids.html
I was virtually house bound for over 4 years - I'm now getting about a bit and can do odd jobs around the back yard - amazing.
Wish you well.

Just ordered the stuff to start this protocol, minus the extremely expensive Fibroboost as it seems to mostly be for pain and discomfort which i dont really get.

What is the protocol? Is it just high doses of vitamin c?
I tried i.v vitamin c before, it did help a little. It was expensive though, so i could do it as often as i wanted too.

Currently its: CoQ10 with some other ingredients, Flavinox, MVM-A, NAC anti oxidant formula, Hight EPA fish oil, Fibroboost and about 8g of buffered vitamin c a day.

Has cost me £90 for just under 2 months supply as long as you buy the majority of it from the US, would be more like £200 if you got them in the UK.

Hes recently updated his supplement protocol, i have it on paper from my doctor but i cant find it online, the changes from the above are:

MVM-A is now 1 capsule 4 times daily, 3 of those with meals.
Favinox is now 1 capsule 4 times daily.
NAC is now 2 capsules a day, one with breakfast one with supper.
and hes added:
Fibroboost, 2 capsules a day.
Buffered Vitamin C, 4 capsules a day, 3 of them with meals. The vitamin c brand he talks about is 2000mg per capsule.

thanks for responding.
I might want to try it. If it worked for dr. pall, it might work for me.
That seems like a more resonable thing that might work, unlike some things like the gupta program. I already take a few anti oxidants, not coq10, or flavinox though.

Anyone else ever had a reaction to acetyl l carnitine? Ive had these weird nervous, hyped up periods shortly after taking the second MVM-A capsule (multi vit and min with 50mg l carnitine). It feels like my heart rate goes up about 50% and i feel a bit hot as well(i guess thats due to the increased heart rate)

when i took acetyl l carnitine on the dr myhill protocol as a powder (2g a day) i thought it made me feel really washed out and tired so i stopped it.

CFS symtoms can be so weird its hard to know whats caused by what but i wondered if anyone else had had anything similar?

I definatley get weird reactions to certain vitamins and drugs. I try to stick it out for a while, sometimes my body gets used to it goes away. But i get overstimulated by supplements alot.

I just go by how my body feels, and if i cant tolerate it i stop taking it.

If i take alot of antioxidants, sometimes i get overstimulated. Maybe its because our bodies are used to functioning on less energy and then they get a big boost of it all at once.

Good luck with it though, let us know how it goes with the protocol. I might give it a try. Laughing

I guess if i hope supplements can seriously benefit my health i shouldn't be surprised if one has a big effect like that, maybe its a good sign.

Im off the mvm-a at the moment, ill wait till my body settles down for a few days then try introducing one of the other capsules, i have a biocare multi vit and mineral that i can use to partially replace the mvm-a anyway

Learnt a good lesson about not doing two things at once!

Ive been tapering down my prozac for the last two months and the symptoms i thought were from the supplements look like they were from prozac withdrawal symptoms. Have had palpitations, chills, weakness and a bit of shaking.

So when im either off the prozac or back on it ill have another go at the supplements.
