I have this problem also and was checking around to see if anyone else had similar problems. I have sharp pains along the bottom
of my feet. I tried out doing some walking to exercise yesterday andby the end of my walk my feet were hurting so bad. I hae leg pains also and that seems to be similar to other people with fibromyalga too.
Have a good night, i hope that you find something to help with your feet! :)

I have foot and leg pains randomly that prevent me from sleeping. I just attributed it to my flat feet, hammer toes and bunions
But then i went to this site: http://www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com/hypoglycemia.htm
And read up on Hypoglycemia.
It seems when you have a large amount of sugar in your body your brain goes "make more insulin! make more Adrenaline!" So now you are all hyped up on drugs and you start feeling good. Afterwards though you tend to feel tired but fibro patients get pains in their legs wether they were using them or not! What happens is your body is stressed and tired and used a ton of nrg to stop all the energy from coming in. You are so tired that it hurts to keep pumping to your legs and extremities. At least that was the jist that i got from this.
Make sure to check out that site. it has good stuff on it.

Foot Pain

Postby susiejeanne » Fri Nov 02, 2007 11:35 am

I also have foot pain. It started this summer. I had my legs checked for diabetic neuropathy. It isn't that. When I take my tramadol, that helps a lot. It happens when I'm on my feel a lot, or just at the end of the day, especially when I sit down.

There is a product out there called KFH Energy which is designed to alleviate pain and fatigue. Kingfisher, who patented the device, is currently seeking clearance from the FDA to market the product. Here is the article http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/cgi/news/release?id=211955

Hi there,
I have pain along the bottoms of my feet, into my achilles sometimes. The more I walk on them, the worse they get. I have been taking Synflex (antiflam) and putting them on iced peas. I also do a stretching exercise frequently during the day which stops them from seizing up with the inflammation. Point your toes forward as far as you can, hold, then point them back towards you as far as you can. This keeps the achilles and calf muscles stretched. I don't get any leg pain though, and do notice that the more sugar I have and stressed I get, the foot pain can increase.

Hi Gina,
This is Dee, I have had FM & CFIS for 18 yrs., before they knew what it was. Went back to the Lord & it was Dx'd. Yes I do have foot pain & it hurts. I use asprin & it takes mine away .Both FM & CF patients have too much candida & parisites but Dr.s' don't believe us. I went to a D.O. who also treated homeopathically. Was on Diflucan for 5 yrs., move and after 1 yr. Dr. took me off. Now really sick again with symptoms worse.DEE

Hi Gina,
I have really bad foot pain, off and on. The only thing that takes it away from me is asprin & I've had FM & CFIS for 18 yrs. We have too much candidia & parasites (go together). Don't eat sugar, starch. I had my Dr., a (D.O) who also treated Homeopathically start me on Diflucan and bought black walnut tincture (health food store) to treat. Moved & after my new Dr. treated me with Diflucan for a yr. he took me off and I gotten really sick again. I started an alkaline diet and within 3 days my FM & arthirits pain was gone. Went to www.WebMD.com & in search typed acid/alkaline diet. Can only have white meat.Chicken, turkey, fish. No sugar/starch/dairy. Fresh fruits & veggies. Hard at first but in 1 yr. lost 51 lbs that I put on from under active thyroid from FM. I'll pray for you if you pray for me. Ded

No one has mentioned plantar fasciatis. This inflamation of the nerves in the feet can cause extreme pain. It can run on the edge of the foot and the bottom. It can be painful in the heel. I was in therapy twice. One needs to flex the feet by grabbing the foot and bending it back, stretching the fascia on the bottom of the foot. Also one can take a towel or rope, make a loop for your foot and ly on your back slowly lifting the leg just enough so you feel it a little. Do both feet and leg exercises and stretch the hamstrings and calf three or four times a day. Ice the feet once a day.
Drink plenty of liquids and spend some time off the feet. Your body will tell you when you need to be off your feet. There are so many causes for painful feet. Proper supporting shoes are very important. A podiatrist has a list of the brand and model of shoe that will help your feet.

I sometimes think that footpain might have something to do with allergies. If one has been tested then eliminating the culprit may help.
Some people have to follow the regiment above just to stay reasonably out of pain. Pain is your friend in that it tells you something is awry. I do also wonder at hormonal reasons for foot pain. It sure is miserable to not know the cause but sometimes one just has to find a regiment or exercise that helps and work on it.

foot pain

Postby kerryjess » Wed Jan 28, 2009 11:21 pm

I have pain in my feet and ankles for the past 2 years. No one could explain the burnng and painful tendons in my ankles until my physio suggested Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Doctors last month have now suggested Fibromyalgia. The Rheumatology consultant can't explain the pain when I walk. It's hard to make others understand how it feels when every step you take is so sore. The question"How far can you walk before you have to stop" becomes irrelevant when each step is sore, even in the house.
I was sent to Occupational Therapy and they showed me how to "de-sensitise" the skin by rubbing with different textures of materials. I had to submerge each foot alternately in hot and then cold water. It has helped a bit. I still have pain when I walk but I have learned that you need to pace yourself. If its sore, rest. The plantar fascitis is there for me as well. I use memory foam insoles and shoes which give support up round the ankles.
There are relaxation techniques which can be helpful in managing the pain. I had about 6 sessions with the Occupational Therapist and she talked me through the programme so it might be worth a try. I find it helpful when I don't want to take extra tablets for pain.

First time that I have replied, Foot Pain: YES my Higher Power must have brought me to your post. When I am up for awhile, walk for awhile etc. I have a burning pain on the upper inside of right foot, along the outside of big toe, pain spreads quickly if I don't get my shoe off and rest. Pain spreads across forefoot. Other symptoms-the area of pain feels numb when I touch it, numbness extend to spaces between toes and to other toes. The foot does not "feel" numb like it FEELS PAIN, I know of the numbness because of seeing tests done on these areas and contrasted to sensations on other toes, etc. What helps: over the counter preparations used for peripheral neuropathy used once or twice a day sometimes help, wearing much wider shoes with some soft pad lifts under my arch and metatarsal, and best of all - covering the offensive skin areas of my right foot with mole skin much as one would wrap an oddly shaped gift, except the mole skin sticks to me. I call what I have "peripheral neuropathy"-but the Chief MD of the "Foot-Pain" clinic at a major NYC hospital said it may also be "an atypical Morton's neuroma." It meets the criteria except it is located in an atypical area. It makes sense because I have fibromyalgia. I hope this helps you.
