Hey there, yeah I too get twitches in my muscles. It is a common symptom of cfs unfortunately. It tends to affect me more when I have a had a busy day, and done way too much. I stop to rest and my muscles go crazy, it's uncontrollable and happens at random. Hope this helps to reasure you. 8)

I get head twitches sometimes, totally out of nowhere. I think its because i cant really relax my muscles and ill just twith sometimes. I went to get aupuncture and the guy was kind of laughing at me because my muscles were so tense and i couldnt relax them. I did feel a little better afterward though

Yes, I can relate to this. I have been having twitching for a year. It started in my legs and then went to other parts of my body and then all over, and then around my heart. I have mostly recovered from CFS (which is why I am here - to share what I know) but I have the twitching that I am solving just now and it turns out that it, for me, is an electrolyte imbalance.

Something I have noticed is that when the twitching goes away, my urine turns from clear to yellow, AND instead of peeing every 5-10 minutes I can hold it an hour, and also that my heart stops pounding so much (electrolyte problems affect the heart, and the heart is a muscle so twitching muscles is not a good thing).

Does anyone here with the twitching problem also have the frequent urination problem? I would be curious if it is related in other people too.

When you do anything for electrolytes, make sure you have proper medical supervision. Messed up electrolytes can cause seizures and other problems.

October 15, 2009 There are many possibilities for why muscles can twitch and why urination can happen frequently. Mine was low kidney function. I didn't know this until I had many symptoms. I am reversing it through herbs. This is all that I can say, except to say that my heart stopped pounding really fast too. I am not a doctor. Do not take this as medical advice. See a physician for your medical problems.

Hi i have had increased thirst and urination for past month and twitching like none other for past week. I cant sleep. my neck twitches so much that it cramps up and i cant relax it. i have been under lot of stress lately with poor eating habits. I guess the electrolyte imbalance makes sense.

twitching

I have had twitching in my legs for about 7 years but they told me it was Restless Leg Syndrome. I thought I was going to go mad with the pain at that time as well. It was a deep throbbing or aching in the muscles which was very hard to describe or explain to the doctor. Initially I was given Csalcium/Magnesium supplement but I didn't see much improvement. Then I was given Ropinirole. Has anyone tried it? The dose was increased gradually from 25mg 3 times a day to 1 mg 3 times a day. The only problem is that I felt unsafe to drive 3o min after tsking the tablet so I stopped taking the morning dose. My rheumatologist has reduced it now to 25 mg 3 times a day and soon twice a day.
I still have the twitching. It usually happens when I am trying to rest or if I have done too much. I had to have an MRI scan for my back and it took 4 goes to et the scan as every time I tried to relax in the chamber, my leg would twitch and ruin the scan!
Its reassuring to know that others have these symptoms as well For years I thought that I was becoming a hypochondriac with one thing after another going wrong with my health.

I get shakey hands sometimes, and cramps, and sometimes an eye twitch, but I think thats all down to stress, but thats in no way related to the syndrome discussed here. It's really not a constant issue, but I have had an MRI done...It was assumed it had neurological causes, but all seemed well.

I can relate too, as I have been experiencing uncontrollable muscle twitches for some time. It was actually starting to frighten me a bit because at times they were quite strong and visably noticeable. The twitches were in my face and neck, but also in my limbs, hands, feet, etc. The twitches would occur during the day, but most often and more severe at night. Sometimes it feels like my whole body jolts. Apparently it happens throughout the night while I'm sleeping, (though I don't realize it). I have been afraid that this was possibly the start of a more severe medical condition like parkinsons or something similar. It is very reassuring to find out that other people are experiencing the same thing in the sense that I am not alone, and no longer as frightened. I have been diagnosed w/ CFS, Fibromyalgia, and Depression - which all feed off of eachother - and as I'm certain most can relate that all are very debilitating and basically rob one of a happy, productive life. I don't know what causes the twitches, or what if anything can help to stop them from occurring. For me, they come and go, and I cannot pinpoint why. It is all so very frustrating to say the least!

You should probably tell your doctor about this to be on the safe side?
