Rice as a cause of Fibromyalgia

Postby daphnexduck » Mon Sep 14, 2009 10:56 am

My fibromyalgia pain was spreading over my body and increasing to the point where no pain medicine was touching it and I was getting no sleep at night. In desperation, I turned to the internet AGAIN to see if I could discover a reason why my pain was increasing. I read one sentence that turned a light bulb on in my head: "Some studies have said that an allergy to rice MIGHT be a cause of fibromyalgia pain".

I had recently stopped eating wheat and was substituting rice an my main grain. I thought back and realized that as I ate more rice, my pain had spread to new parts of my body and increased in intensity. I stopped eating all rice products and my pain started to go away...in the reverse order it had increased. It took several weeks, but even my lower back pain went away after a couple of months. Even a few forkfuls of rice or a salad dressing with rice vinegar will bring back my pain. I am now 98 per cent free of pain, and NEVER eat rice.

If you suffer from fibromyalgia pain that comes and goes, and you eat rice, why not cut out the rice for a while and see what happens? And let us know what happens.
