can anyone help?

Postby neil25 » Wed Sep 23, 2009 5:32 am

Two of my worse symptoms which are still with me is my dizziness and headaches. i was wondering if anyone could provide any advice on treating these symptoms such as through techniques or herbal/vitamin treatements.

Neil.

Neil,

Keep off the pills - all of um! The cranks will have you rattling. That will cost you more money, more stress etc..............

Are you doing the Gupta programme?

Neil

if it were me I would lay off the pills - stick to healthy diet of Protein, fats, veg and salads.

In hindisght I would have made more progress on the AR programme if I had spoken to GUpta trainer earlier tohelp that i was doing the techniques correctly rather than muddling through the programme - its something to consider and you may find it will help your symptoms.

I had them all 6 months ago - but Im getting better rapidly !!!

There are some good ideas for using the programme when severely affected by CFS here gupta-programme-f11/topic773.html and here gupta-programme-f11/topic884.html

The stop technique is the most important part. I suggest you don't try to catch every negative thought for the first short while as you are getting into a rhythm. You could also do the technique at regular intervals, say hourly, for a few days to help you get used to it and help you get into a rhythm.

Hi there, i am 24 and have been sick for 5 months now, my daily routine is usually wake up at 8 do some of my own meditation exercises such as pranayam and nostril breathing, and also a few other ones. i roughly do this for about 30-45 minutes. After this i do Ashoks meditation exercise and visulisation technique from the cd.

After doing this i usually have a fruit juice and take my daily vitamins. then go for a shower and get ready. After this i check my emails and this forum for about an hour or two. later i go out for a quick 15 minute walk. Later i will have my lunch which usually consist of a soup.

After lunch i rest and watch tv for a couple of hours or read a book.

then is my dinner time. after dinner again i will watch tv.

i usually go to sleep for 10 with ashok's meditation cd again. i take kalms sleeping tablets at night i don't know if they do any good though.

I try to do the stop technique in my head but i just have far too many negative thoughts, its riduculous how many i actually have. i never actually physically do the stop technique cos i feel like a fool doing it plus i dont want anyone else see me do it.

I occasinally do the soften and flow technique when i can remember.

My worst symptom i feel is my headache and neck pain they are constantly there and even with meditation they don't seem to soften down. This is what makes it so hard to even do the stop technique as they physical symptoms here are so strong.

Please im begging if anyone can offer any advice as to how i get can better i will gladly listen. im at my wits end with being ill, some days i just don't wanna live.
thanks

Thanks, check out what i do :

When your body is ina calm state and you slow down and you eat slow with centred your breathing youll find that your mitochondria will be boosted.

Ive been sick for 20 years can you imagine how i felt!!! However Im turning myself around and you can to. CFS has turned my life around but Im gonna come round FULL CIRCLE and come out STRONGER THAN MOST PEOPLE OUT THERE! Ill post some pics when I have recovered fully and have pumped some muscle.....!! :)

The issue is actually a MALADAPTIVE AMYGDALA/ Stress response - nothing more than that!

I think if you are feeling the way you are - and I think everyone on the board did at some point .

You may want to get some coaching sessions which will help to unravel your CORE ISSUES which you can work on whilst you do the AR programme.

Over the next 6 months I am going to working on my CORE issues which are driving my own CFS as well continuing with the Gupta programme. I still have physical symptoms and I know my CORE ISSUES are driving them! Everyday is still a struggle but I smile :) as I am finding a path which helps and I think the core issues are MY missing key in my puzzle!

So think about contacting a COACH ..perhaps a EMDR person when I have researched it more.

For start I completely undersatnd how you fell about not doing the full Stops as you feel an idiot probably with parents around listening. BUT YOU WANT TO GET WELL FAST DONT YOU? I feel and idiot with my my husband present...somtimes he jokingly makes comments like ..."so you 're praying again" Had to have serious talk with him the other day... he is very supportive of the program but he was really making me upset and uncomfortable. Also with parents, they may get the message that it is all in your head and you dont want them to think if they have not watched the DVDs....they ahve to stat believing in your illness first to I understand this difficult part of keeeping it secret. Do you have the floor map out or do you have ot hide it away? I have mine on my bed wall.

For the prgram to work you have to do it like Ashok recommends like doing S&F 1- 2 times a day.
I was doing it very casually then I watched the DVDs months later again and realised how important it was....he says it calms the Amygdala......just the very way you say them soooffftthhhen and flooooooow....calm the breathing and send a meassage to the Amy to calm and realese blocked energy.

We have discussed on here before why it is important to do the FULL STOPS...there is something in movement of the body that makes the Stop message have much greater impact on the brain. Somewhere he explains the shortened version just stops the thought but does not dig the trench to get to the base of the problem.

If I am with company and have to do Stops at home, I just go to my room and do it, I do it in supermarket...no one knows...do the whole process like a bit of a dance. I cheated with the short version too long and now I am sorry. Some have got well doing it that way but not me but Ashok says FULL Stops are the way to go. If you cant do the full version he says do it on the back of your hand.....I even move my body a bit if I do it that way.

At the moment the Amygdala is fighting your attempts to calm the body as it has power of you right now...Try what ones poster suggests ...look at it in amazement and wonder....dont be tricked by it.

Sounds like you may have lot of tension in you neck and head....maybe a nice massgage might help...Ashok recommends a head massage...anything to relax and nurture the body without concentrating on your symptoms.
Distraction is the key for me... getting out of this zoo.
