I also use EFT and ART alongside eachother. In MY humble opinion, they make eachother stronger and work better. Some of my anxiety is caused by past emotional experiences and ART does only subside them when they are there. With EFT I go to the core of the issue and take it away, thereby making it effective that the fear does not reappear/ not needing ART on it.

However, whilst doing this, ART is magnificent to KEEP calm (as EFT does not work miracles overnight in general for a complex thing as ME/CFS).

I also believe that a part of the anxiety/ stress with ME is 'just' a pattern we learned, as Ashok says. In this case, ART is more effective than EFT as we break the pattern immediately.

Again; it's the combination that works for me. But I must emphasize that I could not have reached the results with EFT without a therapist.
Once you have reduced the Stress reponse using the Gupta Approach

I think any additional support may be benficial ie therapy, hypnotherapy, EFT, EMDR, CBT for deeper issues.

You just need to find a therapy or combination to suit you.
