What you can do?

Postby Gattone » Thu Feb 04, 2010 10:23 pm

hello, i was wondering how was your activity level i mean do you work go otu with friends have relationships etc. exercise etc .
do you have complete autonomy in your life?
i have just little imrovement with gupta and found that my life is really empty and i loose several thigns i used to do sport music working part time go out with friend s every day, now i can't do anything of these things
seems i loose body memory of doing sport and singing wich was my passion
this made me really depressed i hoped in a signifcant improvement that never comes and simply can't accpet mi life like this, indeed no person i know accept this they are always like "didn't get better yet??don't you want to have fun raise a family etc..? " making me feel even more miserable plus i have to work to make some money, so i can't focus only pleasurable things
how do you manage money issues?

I really feel for you as there is no escape from this illness or from the ridiculous things people say to us.

Some people have had to give up work and live on a low income. Lots of people have no social life because it's too stressful.

Doctors say stress leads to depression, so we have to find ways to de-stress. I'm doing Gupta for 2-3 hours per day and so far it hasn't helped the M.E. but has helped with feeling calmer, and making better day-to-day decisions.

We have to consider ourselves carefully, learn to be selfish, just do what we want when we want to. Put ourselves first. Take on as little as possible. Sometimes it means being alone alot. Staying in bed very late. Just going out for 1 hour only. Look at each problem, thought or task, as it comes up, don't rush doing too much.

I think alot of m.e./c.f.s. people do not have enough care, consideration or helpfulness around them hence we do have to think of ourselves first.

gattone, this is exactly how i feel just now. I can go meet friends but its always limited plus most of the time i feel terrible and would rather have stayed at home. Gupta does help calm the mind but some days im just so severley affected i can't do nothing thats the times i feel really empty like life has no meaning.

I really sympathise too gattone. My life has totally changed. On a better day I try to appreciate what I have now, on a bad I feel terrible, such loss. I am housebound, and when I see friends, though i love it i generally suffer for it later, however hard i practice my gupta.
Here's hoping things change for us all very soon, how, i don't know, but we have to keep hope alive somehow.

yeah it's really about keeping hope alive
and also finding new meanings wich have to be shared with people who can understand...
i think we need to keep alive also relationships but it's the hardest part

Its taken me a YEAR to feel calmer on Gupta-I have had many dips but I kept on doing it!

When you feel it doesnt work near the latter stages this may be a sign that you need to dig a little deeper at your core issues.

For me now, I have 6 months of refining techniques and working on developing myself!!
