Hi all,

Just thought I'd let you all know that the adderall is still working really well for me. I take it about twice a week, usually right when I'm done exercising (this is something I haven't done for months).

Overall, I'm improving even while not under the effects of adderall, and I do have some ideas about it that really seem to confirm Gupta. I view myself as basically being healthy again. This isn't to say that I don't have CFS-- I mean that having CFS has not in any way impacted the choices I've made for the past few weeks. When I go work out, my only symptom following the workout is this decrease of blood flow to the head, which results in brain fog (interestingly, there's been studies to confirm this is true for a lot of CFSers, even though healthy people actually experience *increases* in blood flow... this explains why people usually feel more ready to take tests and such after having gone for a walk).

It used to be that that decrease in blood flow would remain, and then turn into a headache, and then maybe spur some jitteriness that further exacerabated the headache. Now-- and here's the cool part-- because I know that if I take adderall that I'll feel better, I end up some of the time not even taking the adderall. Basically, the symptom itself doesn't stress me out, because I know that if I want to end it right away, I can. And the very calmness that results from this actually seems to end up making me feel better (usually after an hour or two post-workout).

This has been amazing. I know that I can go drink, because I know that if I have a vicious hangover, I can make it better. Knowing this seems to make the actual hangovers I experience the next day far less severe. And as I've already said, I've applied this to working out. It also works wonders for removing the stress from school work, since I know that the very purpose of adderall is to make work easier.

Anyway, what I want to stress is that even when the adderall isn't in my system, I really am feeling better, and I think this is all because of the peace of mind I've gotten as a result of knowing that I've finally found a medication that has made me feel better. So my general advice, beyond simply recommending that you all try adderall if you already haven't, is that you keep trying different meds to treat different symptoms. Maybe if you find one that really helps, the security of knowing that you have one really will turn this vicious stress cycle around.
