negative thoughts?

While sleeping?

If you are changing your conscious experience in your daily life, then your dreams should alter to reflect the work you are doing on yourself. They may become more vivid or more technicolour or you may find yourself being awoken by dreams that are causing you conflict.

I don't think your thoughts while asleep will influence your daily life. Your sleeping consciousness is the time when it is ordering the events of the day.

That's interesting, Jenny. I'm finding this to be happening a lot since I started this programme. In fact recently, in the daytime also, I feel a battle going on between my 'old self' and the new me that I'm trying to be who is healthy and happy. Are you saying that these feelings are just a normal part of the process?

Yes, it's true: as long as you're not engaged in something to keep the mind occupied, all those thoughts come flooding back.

But what I find is that I wake up in the night hyperventilating and with adrenaline rushing. It seems the amygdala doesn't go off guard even when we're asleep!
