Recovery Soon,
There was not a great deal of emphasis put on Sri Sri in my course.....no deifying him too much at all.

I am glad you found AOL liberating. This is where I think we need to go....remove the broom from our backs more....let down the subconscious barriers we have all around us...the self protection barriers and just FLOW more. Would love to go to their retreat in Quebec....big dream.

So pleased you learnt a new technique in the area of "eye gazing"....may add to your arsenal for attracting the opposite sex...may use less energy with this approach.

Glad you survived it ...congratulations.

Thanks Nia.

The Sri Sri thing might be own personal hang-up. I think putting someone's picture at the front of the room, and continuing to mention that he is enlightened, reeks of guru worship. I've worked with really phenomenal meditation masters who continuously downplay their own importance, when in fact they are visionaries. It just sends up a red flag for me.

Strangely, I did not crash right after the course- Thanksgiving was great- But yesterday crashed, I think unrelated.

Love the pranayama, and did the Kriya today- will continue to do it.

Also- I keep hearing from the other participants- which I would have thought weird- but actually like. They are having their first "reunion" on Wednesday. MIght attend- not sure.

As for the retreat- I usually go for a 7 day silent Vipassana meditation retreat once a year- Not sure if I can fit the AOL on top of that- I am looking to hear from anyone who has gone through it- if you hear any reviews please let me know.

As for the eye gazing- I was experiencing a reaction other than spiritual with one of the participants- (pretty sure she was too).

Only problem- a ring on her finger.

Could be dangerous!

UPDATE-

I'm in a pretty bad crash right now and haven't been doing the "Kriya" for the past few days.

Today, I said what the hell and did all the AOL pranayama breathing exercises, plus the Kriya, plus 20 minutes additional meditation.

Believe it or not, it actually gave me a noticeable energy/focus boost throughout the day. Very significant in fact.

I know some people have said the Kriya makes them crash- so far I think it helps me.

As a precaution I'll use it sparingly throughout this crash- but I'll update periodically to let you know.

Today, was a very welcome surprise.

Niaholt and Emergo (and any other AOL graduates)

Can you please explain the difference btw the long and short Kriya"

I only know of one, which is 3 rounds and lasts about 10 minutes- is that the long or short?

Thanks.

The long Krya is the one with the tape they have. And only they can play it.
