Losing motivation, feeling crap

OK. I still really believe that Ashok is on to something and that his theory explains a massive amount about my illness. But...

It just doesn't seem to be working for me.

I'm 5 months in. I saw initial fantastic results for the first 4 days since doing the AR retraining and mediation. Better than I've been since I got ill 14 years ago (I'm 37)

However since then I went back to normal have seen absolutely no improvement, but my bad days have been 100 times worse.

I'm not worried about getting better quickly - I am already very high functioning for a CFS sufferer - work full time, play in a band and do the odd gig. I'd say I'm already 85% functioning but I'm pretty much always suffering with the condition, I just get myself through it.

The meditation doesn't turn my mind off, in fact my mind now seems to see that as time to get as many thoughts in as possible.

I started watching the course again last night and found it really difficult to get the motivation to get through it all again.

As I say, I still trust that this is the answer, but the techniques do not seem to be helping and the positive visualisation is getting further and further away, rather than getting stronger.

Maybe I should be mailing this to Ashok himself?

Do go ahead and mail on to Ashok. But this challenge is important to share with the group. Sorry for copying and pasting, I thought it important in case you had second thoughts and wanted to delete.

I'm waiting for the better and better myself. I'm 8 months in and not improved much over the inital early months I've plateued.

Hi Sylvia,

Don't worry I'm not going to pull it down :)

I've mailed the clinic a link to the topic. I'll let you know if I hear anything back.
