ok i see, ashok says on his dvd that for the technique to be fully effective we need to do the stops, im not convinced myself as the stops did very little for myself.

i'm glad you are doing well nia, thank you for posting that. breathing exercises are actually about the only thing that seems to help me consistently. i vary the counting, usually 4 in hold for about 6 then out for 8, don't hold for long if i feel my blood pressure is up. i still come unstuck when i talk, i'm sure that is why talking makes my symptoms so much worse, not sure what to do about this. any suggestions any of you breathers out there. i did order the book mentioned from amazon today for further encouragement. hope the postman fights through the snow with it!

p.s to post above, i rarely use the stops now, unless i am really aware of a lot of negative chatter going on inside me. i don't actually find it very helpful, the same n.l.p technique is the basis of the lightning process, i didn't find it helpful there either. i know for some people it has been transformative, i must have other things going on, i wish i knew what!

Annie, maybe you should try supplementing on Iodine. I had my doctor test me for hypothyroidism and the test was OK - however I am taking some detox stuff which is rich in iodine and I'm sleeping better and have more energy which would indicate that the iodine is helping me. Worth a try.

ive heard that you need to do the stops to make the gupta programme most effective as this gradually rewires the brain and i dont think meditation and breathing does this alone. from my own experience stop's didnt help me at all expect give me more anxiety.

None of the Gupta Program will cause you anxiety, there is nothing in it that would do that. With all respect Neil you simply haven't given the Gupta Program a fair go - do it 100 percent for 6 months and then make up your mind. If you're getting anxiety do the Stop and Flow several times a day.
