My husband was recently diagnosed with Fibromialgea and Chronic Fatigue. I am trying to put together a list of things to start doing and keeping a log of the results. He has already improved slightly with the Cimbalta the doc gave him... but that is for his headaches. I want something that will be more long term help, rather than just pharmasutically treating his symptoms. His energy levels are dropping drastically and he and I are both very concerned.

Im so sorry that your husband has CFS and FM, this is truely something so difficult to deal with on a daily basis. I am a male with CFS so I know how he feels. A good place to start is by reading the book "From Fatigued To Fantastic" by Dr Jacob Teitelbaum. He had CFS and recovered. The book is full of natural ways to treat the symptoms. You might also want to look at the Prohealth website. The creator of prohealth has had CFS and there are forums there where you can get in touch with other people with CFS, FM.

Dear Carrigan,
Your husband is very lucky that you are so interested in helping him overcome his illness. I have been sick with CFS for over a year and one of the more difficult tasks has been trying to get my husband to understand that I really just can't function - my head and my heart want to be as active as I was before, but my body just won't follow instructions.
