13 years ago I diagnosed myself with CFS. I have all the textbook symptoms of CFS. Last year I found out I'm a carrier of strep; however, it doesn't manifest as a sore throat. The bacteria is "dormant" in my body--it just shows up on my blood work. I'm wondering if this could have been my problem all along. I don't know how long I've been a carrier of strep. I also have had severe chronic sinusitis for 28 years. My question is this: Is CFS a disease on its own, or is it a "secondary" disease caused by some other medical condition? Like I said, I diagnosed myself with CFS 13 years ago. I've never been to the doctor about it.
Thanks. |

have you ever tried a round of antibiotics for it? It might be hard to get a dr to give you some, but there are also natual antibitoics like olive leaf, colloidal silver, grapefruit seed extract that might be worth a try.
I havent heard about strep causing cfs before, but i guess any type of chronic infection might cause it. so it might be worth a try
good luck |

| i'm very interested in what you say because about a year before i got CFS i was constantly coming down with severe sore throats. i would literally get a bout of it once every three weeks. i am also wondering if this caused my CFS. |

I was first diagnosed in '92. I had a lot of sinus infections. My doctor sent me to a physical therapist for back pain. This PT did crainal sacrial work. It nothing for the back pain but I havn't had a sinus infection since.
As always, what works for one may not work for all. I would give it a shot.
