I would really apprecitate if some would share their experiences with me about provigil
Im considering it, to treat my excessive daytime sleepiness
Can you answer any of these following questions?
--Did it help with your daytim fatigue?
--What was the reason you took it? sleep problems?
Do you have to take it everyday?
Does it make you feel nervous or anxious?
Were there any side effects?
Did you have trouble falling asleep?
Did you find it habit forming?
It seems like i have a similar story as you.I also take ativn sometimes. I am afraid to use one med and have it counteract the other one , but if i can find a combination that works for me, ill keep doing it. Keep us up on how the Provigil is going. Good Luck
Ive been taking Provigil for a few months now ,I think it helps so mmuch with my big fatigue problems. Does yor insurence company cover this because a one mo supply of pill cost over $300. My insurance is aetna and they dont cover this expense. Hopefully yours does.

I have taken Provigil off and on since Feb. 2006.
Provigil helps greatly with mental clarity and staying focused for a long period. Also lifts my mood so I feel I can accomplish something.
I can count on at least 4 hours of mental alertness, to pay bills, organize my life, clean house, etc.
As far as physical energy goes this med makes me want to try to do more. so I usually will. It takes about 40 minutes for it to kick in. Then I have about 4 hours of go-go time. Also suppresses my appetite.
Side effects: I only have trouble falling asleep if I have coffee with it. It says on the instructions not to have coffee. Good advice, 'cause sleep won't come easy if I do.
It sometimes causes me to have anxiety, or repetitive thoughts. Or excessive worry. again if I did not consume coffee I would probably not have this extreme effect.
Provigil makes sweat and urine smell stronger.
It is expensive so I was able to get mine through the NORD program.
Overall the benefits outweigh the negatives for me.
