My pain dr just started me out on a new drug for pain - Savella. He gave me a free 2wk titration pack working up from 12.5mg 2/day up to 50mg 2/day. I hear this is a very expense medicine so I'm glad I hoot a free sample. It depressed me so bad I wanted to jump off a bridge, I could not sleep longer than 2 hrs at a time and my night sweats ...

There is alot more active posting in the chronic fatigue and gupta program sections. The fibro section is a little dead. New people stop by and post in it, but thee isnt a whole lot of regular posters in it.

I am about 8 months newly diagnosed and am still trying to find what really works for me. Currently my Dr has prescribed Neurontin for me and not lyrica due to I am trying to lose weight and she says that weight gain is one of Lyricas side effects. I take 200mg a day. Has anyone discovered a link between the use of insect repellent containing DEET and their own fibromyalgia? I've just joined the FM club. Unfortunately, this seems to be only one of the many afflictions I have right now. I've been to so many doctors and had so many tests and vials of blood drawn that I'm thankful that at least I have one diagnosis.
