New Ultra Meditation - Brain and Sound

Hello guys

Are you fed up listening to the same Gupta meditation CD? I did some research to find a different CD :-

http://www.ultra-meditation.com/

This bypasses normal meditation and goes straight to using rhythms to reset the brain.

It's for rescripting negative self-defeating beliefs. It uses musical harmonics and sound frequencies. It is believed people who enter this mind state have a greater ability to "rescript" material on an ...

Coconut for IBS symptoms

I heard someone on The People's Pharmacy last Saturday (on national public radio- U.S.A.) say that coconut had cured his Crohn's disease within a month- Crohn's is worse than irritable bowel syndrome- and that he knew people who had used it with IBS as well with great success. I have heard this before- just plain coconut flakes.

Missing Negative Thoughts?

Never thought I'd feel/say this but after a week or so on Gupta I find I actually miss having negative thoughts about cfs etc. Using the STOP means I don't get to indulge them ... originally this was great but now I sort of miss having them around which is weird because I am not a self-pitying sort. But I did have a daily 'why me?' etc session and sometimes this was sort of comforting ...

Bodily Attention

Hi, I have just started the Gupta programme and may have missed this: I am trying to break negative and body symptom thoughts. However, I have to take my blood pressure a few times a day as it has been high. Obviously I can't stop that thought while I am doing this, so how does one pay attention to such other, non-cfs body issues without messing up the stop/break mechanism? I just do the A ...

Sending soon for the Programme

Hi everyone. I have only recently joined this forum. I think I posted a few times about changing diet which luckily for me has transformed some of my symptoms (lifelong IBS and more recent associated migraine).

I am 57 and have had ME/CFS for around 5 years but have had it quite mildly until last year. I was able to continue working 16 hrs per week, but it is a stressful job and most of ...

starting amygdala retraining

Hey everyone :-) I'm new here and I just got my pack of DVDs etc for the Gupta AR programme. I'm a bit confused about how to start (and a bit brain tired at the moment). I watched all the 'free' videos (sessions 1-3) before I bought the programme. Am I meant to watch them again? Is the book a transcript of the DVDs and am I ...

Neglect? Abuse ? from Partner/Family

Hello Everyone,

What seems to come over to me from reading various posts, is that many of us who are battling with illness (at near breaking point sometimes) are not being given kindness, support and acceptance from those around us. Lack of support, lack of kindness (especially to people in pain or ill), lack of respect, lack of thoughtfullness, is NEGLECT. Make no mistake about it and do not be in denial about it. Your ...

Gut!

Hello,

Just thought I'd post up about this, as I believe it is fundamental to my illness and hopefully recovery.

When I first started getting ill 16 years ago, I was in a high pressure job. I was 22, and the first signs of illness were IBS and nausea

This continued as just being these symptoms for about 7 years until I got a flu, which then started spiralling into CFS.

I have never been ...
