Discuss The Guptra Programme's Amygdala Retraining Techniqes

Computers, Forums and the Amygdala

Just a quick point on this topic which I think is important...

I was going to post this on the "False Posts" thread but realised it would be a threadjack :D

In my experience, computers and the amygdala don't mix well.

I can handle anything from 1 min to 1 hour a day in front of a computer during which symptoms will build to a crescendo, ...

Ashok: Abusive marraige vs. Retraining Amygdala/Healing

Hi Ashok,

I bought and have used your program--Valentines Day will be my 6 months of use.

I'm in an emotionally and verbally abusive marraige and have been for many years with the CFS--unable to work.

But have one child and chose to stay in marraige over living on welfare

In less than two years my child will be off to college.

Do those who are in a hateful/fearful situation heal with your program? Or ...

? for Ashok--discoordination

Ashok,
I have been doing the Amygdala retraining for about five and a half months now and I am starting to see some sustained improvement. My brain fog (as far as feeling distant from the world, half-asleep and like my brain was stuffed with cotton balls) has improved substantially. It is amazing to feel this "awake" again--at least in spurts--I tend to fall back into the fog near the end of the day and when ...

Learnings

Hi

I thought it would be good for us to not only share our questions and successes/failures but also our learnings. SO I thought I could start.

Our girls (12 and 16) both really struggled to find things that they should use the AR with. I think this is partly age and partly becasue they use blocking out negative thoughts to survive. The problem with this is, as I understand the theory, that much of ...

Support for Ashok Gupta

Recently there have been two people come to this forum with attempts to smear Ashok's reputation. One a deliberate attack on his character and now an extraordidnarily negative person accusing Ashok of spreading fake good reports about his program. I think it stinks.
I have benefitted from Ashok's program, absolutely no doubt. I have had considerable help over and above the program itself, which I think is cheap at the price. I think that Ashok ...

False Gupta program posts

I posted this earlier, but oddly I cannot find my post anymore. (Do posts have to be approved ?) I am going to try again and see what happens.

I am very interested in the Gupta program but am quite certain there are alot of "false posts." There are the same people on several CFS boards posting only about their great success with the program. Elfy is one that stands out in my mind. They ...

Question for Ashok

Ashok,
First of all : thank you so much for your inspiring work!
I wonder about something that you probably have given answers to in your DVDs but hope you tolerate a question even if this is so...

I didn't contract a virus when I first became ill. I was having symptoms of stress; sleep-disturbances, dizziness and fatigue-like symptoms for a long time. I'm not quite sure where to draw the line of which I ...

praise for the amygdhala retraining programme

:D Hi , just wanted to join this forum because i am really relieved to have at last found a cure to cfs. I have had symptoms of chronic tiredness, blood sugar problems leading to dizziness, nausea and mood swings as well as general body aches and pains and IBS from the age of 16 (that's now 18 years ago..yikes!) when contracted glandular fever during a ...

Question for Ashok about working full time

I'm just beginning Ashok's programme. A very professional looking pack came earlier this week, and I've just finished session 4.

One question I have, which I'm sure applies to a lot of other sufferers.

The advice is to take 6 months out and then at least another 6 months when I'm recovedred. However, I work full time - I have a very understanding employer - in an IT job, which I cope with pretty well. ...

Full Recovery Stories

Hi everyone

As promised, I will post feedback from patients who have made a full recovery. Here's the first one from a lady who had been suffering for 16 years:

Dear Ashok,

I was talking with a friend the other day who commented on how well I look and I thought I should just say yet again, thank you. I am so incredibly well I have to say. I am now back at the gym ...
