Discuss The Guptra Programme's Amygdala Retraining Techniqes

What is this treatment

I really don't understand. From what I've read it is relaxing therapy... smile... okay sounds just a little silly to me. I have also heard it encompasses yoga and positive feeling. Okay, now you are starting to sound like a self-help guru. lol. I don't mean to be critical but I will need a lot of convincing before I believe my brain is "not wired correctly"

I've been recently been through a long ordeal where ...

Ashok and all- Autism and the amygdala

Hi,

http://www.nature.com/npp/journal/v33/n ... 1453a.html

Ashok's likely aware of this, but just in case. In any case thought it might be of interest to those of us who are interested in the common threads between ME/CFS etc and autism

Ashok- course just arrived, Q about the book

Hi Ashok,

My course has just arrived, thanks for swift desptach.

There's an issue though, do I have to use the book and chart? The print fumes are seriously headache inducing, and cause some breathlessness too; it was apparent on opening the jiffy bag. I've tried reading a little of the book but lasted only a few moments and wished I hadn't tried. I'm pretty surprised as although I have some MCS, books are not ...

lyme question for Ashok

Dear Ashok,

I wonder if you are experienced with the chronic lyme diagnosis? Have any of your patients been diagnosed with lyme yet benefited in the same way as those diagnosed with cfs?

I was diagnosed with CFS 11 years ago. Two years ago I went to a doctor who gave me a blood test for lyme and according to him, I tested positive by the CDC definition. I have researched chronic lyme and have ...

Ashok- I've watched sessions 1-3 on youtube.....

Hi Ashok,

Thank you so much for answering questions here, it’s much appreciated.

My query is about how this programme would apply to me. I’ve meditated and visualised myself healthy for years, am able to use my mind to relax muscles that are about to cramp, slow my pulse etc, I laugh a lot and my glass is not merely half full it overflows.

However when my system experiences a stress, say an unexpected cold ...

When you say full recovery...

Hi Ashok - I am curious, of your patients who have reached "full recovery", does that mean that they are able to exercise/exert themselves without worry of a relapse? Are they able to get normal refreshing sleep without any medications?

I'm also interested in the pilot study you did, has that been published anywhere yet? Have you done any long-term follow up on your patients to see if any of them have relapsed a year ...

Is detoxing counterproductive for the amygdala retraining?

Hi Ashok, thanks for your willingness to answer questions here.

If the overactive amygdala makes it hard for people with CFS/MCS, etc to detox properly, is it contributing to the amygdala problem to focus attention on detoxing with sauna, supplements, etc? I guess I'm wondering if it keeps the amygdala in danger mode, i.e. "I'm toxic, somethings wrong, I must do whatever I can to get these chemicals out!" I want to do what I ...

Is the program for fibro pain

Hi ashok,
i heard you might answer some questions. I was wondering since CFS and fibromyalgia are related, would your protocol help with fibro pain or is it just mainly for chronic fatigue. I also have chemical senitivity, so it would be great if it helped out with that too

 Madison
