Discuss The Guptra Programme's Amygdala Retraining Techniqes

Progress

Hi all,

Just thought I'd let you all know that the adderall is still working really well for me. I take it about twice a week, usually right when I'm done exercising (this is something I haven't done for months).

Overall, I'm improving even while not under the effects of adderall, and I do have some ideas about it that really seem to confirm Gupta. I view myself as basically being healthy again. This isn't ...

Feel normal at night

I quite often feel normal at night and sometimes first thing in the morning until breakfast. Just wondering if anyone else experiences this. I was talking to a non cfs friend who thinks that means I just have anxiety. (She had really bad anxiety a year ago) No expectations of me at night so no anxiety. I asked her how that explains post exercise malaise and she said b/c your muscles are not used to ...

Self confidence, self esteem

Hi all,

After being 1 year on the ARP, I noticed that my agmygdala is still not fully retrained. Feeling better and I'm less anxious about being ill or symptoms - yeah! - but they seem to be replaced by other fears.

I've been ill for 5-10 years and in that period I feel I have 'devalued' - work, income, appearance (body), sexual performance, relationship - they all are on a level that doesn't feel ...

questions about AR

Hi everyone, I just joined and was wondering if I could ask some questions about the Gupta programme? I've seen the videos on youtube, read many of the threads on this forum, and am thinking about buying the programme.

Can anyone describe the actual activities in the programme (in simple form)? I understand that there is a meditation technique, and a technique for dealing with negative thoughts, but the videos aren't specific. Can anyone provide ...

SSRIs and Gupta

I'm wondering if others have noticed improvements on SSRI anti-depressants. I originally went on Lexapro about 7 years ago for OCD type thinking. I would get locked into ruminating about something I was worrying about (non symptom related), causing much unhappiness. It helped some with that.

I stayed on it for several years, which "happened" to coincide with a general upswing in my overall health. I eventually weaned myself off and within about 3 months, ...

Can anyone recommened a therapist?

Hi there,

I'm completely new here and hope it's okay to put a thread up, as I have actually not done the Gupta course but the Lightning Process instead (6 months ago). The LP helped me massively psychologically but in terms of physical symptoms, the M.E. is has still not shifted.

I was thinking of trying Gupta but I suspect that there is something else at play here, and that as Gupta is similar to ...

I wonder if it's really about adrenaline...

This is a long post. Sorry in advance, but I gotta throw a lot of things out there...

Due to my recent use of adderall, things have been going much better. As I (and billoddie) talked about in other posts, it's almost as if adderall breaks Gupta's vicious cycle. For me, at least (I won't speak for Bill), it's not that I have to continue to take adderall in order to feel better. One dose, ...

Just started the programme; follow my blog

Hi folks,

It was comments on this forum that led me to the Gupta programme. I've just started it, and I'm feeling tired (what's new!) but optimistic. To help keep me motivated, I've set up a blog to follow my progress. Check it out... and here's to a healthy 2010!

Cheers,
Graham
