I am new to this forum so please excuse stupid mistakes. I have not heard of Klonopin for sleep. The lack of sleep resulting in 'lead boots' all day is one of the worst of my M.E. Can this drug be taken regularly, has it side effects, addiction etc? I take zopiclon occasionally and it allows a nights sleep but a bit dosy a.m. and it can't be used long term. Any suggestions for the night sweats?

I do take it every night and have been for 5 years. Its a low dose, some people think it is addictive and would probably be hard for me to get off.
But i haent had to increase the dose or anything over the years, so it seems ok for me

I take it on an as-needed basis. I'm a little worried about getting dependent (I now have to take 1mg instead of .5 to feel the same effects), so I only use it when I can really sense I'd have a rough night otherwise. I try to keep at least 2 or 3 days in between each time I use it, and so far that's been working.
