Tricyclic Anti-Depressant

Postby grasshopper53 » Mon Jun 21, 2010 3:30 am

Have been taking Anafranil (Chlomipramine Hcl) for 20 years now and it has given me back 60-70% of my energy after not being able to walk 100m some days. Have tried other anti-deps from time to time but nothing has the same effect (Prozac, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Cypramil) in fact they all made me feel WORSE within 3 days and I stopped them. Was taking Anafranil at same time on lower dose under psychiatric supervision. Tried Moclobemide once but no benefit after going off Anafranil. Same dose, same effect for 20 years. Was very lucky that GP put me on that first. Working on the other 30-40% still plus mega vitamins.
Other prescription stuff I take is KH3 (procaine) Modafinil, Valtrex for anti-viral, Colgout (gout drug) for constipation relief and now vancomycin anti-biotic as gastro specialist says I have bacterial problem with Clostridium difficule. have been blessed to find good doctors but took some time looking.
