Provigil is a mild simulant that doesnt really have many side effects. It gave me a little boost in energy, but didnt help my concentration at all

Provigil

I used it a for a few weeks when my CEBV reactivated. I didn't feel a boost or 'buzz'; it just allowed me to have full days at work. If I didn't take it really early in the morning though, I couldn't go to sleep at night.

try adderall...provigil didn't work for me....but adderall, another psychostimulant does...is my miracle drug for CFS...try 20 mgs extended release generic, if that isn't enough try 40 mgs...i take 40 mgs extended release and can go to work. I take klonopin 1 mg and Lunesta 3 mg at night to sleep, along with antidepressant Cymbalta. I couldn't sleep even before the Adderall, but i think most people who take adderall take klonopin to sleep.

I started Provigil about 3 years ago and it has improved my life tremendously. I read an article about a study where it was taken by a group of people on chemotherapy to combat their "chemo-brain" fogginess but it did not work until taken for 2-3 months. I had tried it about 10 years ago with little effect and when I tried it again 3 years ago it was with not much effect until about 10 weeks passed and then it really began to give me much greater stamina and strength and it has continued to do so although I have to increase the dose about every 9-10 months. I am almost like well but I can't say it does a lot for my organizing and concentration. It is expensive and I get it from overseas where it is much cheaper. I hope this helps someone.
