Hey all, i found this awesome site that gives some new treatments for fibro. THe idea of it is to rid your body of all its toxins through a med and a healthy diet. I urge you to check it out! I am in week 2 of this process and i can't say i am a %100 but i can get pretty far without my cane. Can you believe i actually walked almost two miles one day? Please go to it and check out the Guaifenesin Protocol. I will also post other helpful link that i think are related to it.

I am doing the Gau Treatment right now. Its not a cure but it helps. I am almost on week two. The sore throats have stopped and the nose is pretty much done running. I have altered my diet to all produce and meats with maybe one serving of grain or more (more if i feel tired that day) and no sugars. Ok, i am not a saint so i indulge randomly
Anywho the other day i accidentally walked to far. (how the heck do you do it accidentally?! Well i didn't have enough money for the bus back to the car ) So i walked i am gonna say over a mile. now i haven't walked a mile since some bad flare ups and surgerys about four years ago. Usually if i walk that much in a day i would be out of commission for at least a day to a day and a half afterwards and exhausted (sometimes longer of course). but when i accidentally did it the next day i took my dog for a walk around the block and i felt ok! I wasn't barely tired and almost no aches. Now i dont' feel like i did as a teenager but i did feel a lot better. I have less aches in my legs from the hypoglycemia and diet change. I have less overall pains and i am actually starting to look forward to get out of bed.
Again, i am not cured. I wouldn't even say i am 50% better. But i am better. And that is more than any pain meds have done for me.
Btw, watch your Salicylate intake while doing this. Its important. |

I hate to look like a conspiracy theorist but this book is chock full of helpful information on healthy living. I believe its a book everyone should read and its cheap and easy to get. It says everything one needs to know to get rid of toxins in the body.
Also i have found a great helper was green tea. If you google green tea you can quickly find the reasons people drink it and live longer healthier lives. Its chock full of vitamins C & E as well as Anti-oxidants in which i believe there is a previous post about how Fibro's lack the good anti oxidants in there diets. I also suggest a little amount of honey not only for flavor but also for its medicinal qualities.

Its good to hear that you are having some improvements. If youve been sick for a while it seems like it might take some time for you to get back to where you were. Ive also been on meat and vegetable diet. Hardly any carbs. My doctor wants me to be super strict on the carbs. I do cheat some times. A low card diet is even harder i think than a low fat diet. It doesnt seem like it would be really, but i freaked out the other day and ate a butterfinger. (dont tell). but anyways, thanks alot for the links and stuff that is good info. It helps alot .
take care

Its good to hear some of these sucess stories. I like to see treatments that are actually working on people. This makes me want to try guifenison, i had kind of given up on trying new treatments for a while because nothing really seemed to be working. |

| Btw, i know not everyone looks at ads but one of them on the top of these forums seemed rather interesting. It is a research institute that simply wants to know how you deal with Fibro. Here's the link. I am gonna do it i think. http://www.arthritis-research.org/fibro.htm |
