Whilst Googling the web for references to Ashok Gupta I found this website
http://www.mariannegutierrez.co.uk/article/ashok-gupta-gupta-amygdala-retraining
In this article the originator refers the readers to the Perrin Techinque because of some similarities in what they are saying about CFS.

This person Perrin found out that most people with CFS has this dull pain in the middle of the upper spine and has applied osteopathy to this with some success.
This is the first time I have ever seen a references to this pain in association with CFS - ever since I have had CFS I have had this pain in the middle of my upper back! Interesting!!
