try co-Q 10, it helps me

Postby pops » Tue Jun 20, 2006 6:24 pm

(Get CoQ10 Here)

Ive been taking this supplement for a while now and it definately helps with my fatigue and concentration. The draw back to it though is that it is pretty expensive. I spend so much money on vitamins, it is unbelieveable

i also take co-q10. I think this is supposed to be a really good supplemet to take, even if you dont have chronic fatigue. I think its supposed to be one of the strongest anti-oxidants available. But yeah, it is kind of expersive

Co Q 10

Postby mason.s » Tue Jul 25, 2006 4:12 pm

Hi,
I'm new to this blog. recently started taking CoQ 10 via tablets from Vitaline. Vitaline produces tablets (less expensive) and chewable tablets ($$$$). In Oregon our medical school selected Vitaline chewable tablets for a parkinson's efficacy study, due to it's purity. You might wish to check out prices on the Vitaline web site.
Best Wishes!

CoQ10

Postby Gail Ebert » Thu Sep 14, 2006 9:43 am

I too have tried CoQ10. It's in a packet of supplements I purchased on QVC for women over 50. ($50/month) (I'm only 46 but had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and qualify for the over 50 crowd now) It really seems to work, been on them over 3 months now. Just to be sure it's the vitamins w/ CoQ10, I go off them for 3 days and all my old symptoms come back! Tired, cranky, forgetful, achey, unmotivated, lazy, forgetful... It really helps! So glad to have found something that works, hope it continues to work! I also was diagnosed w/ fibromyalgia, but it's non existent on these vitamins as well! Now if I can just find something healthy to take for my rheuynawds!

Hello all.. what a great forum for us unfortunate enough to suffer this horrible condition...I tried 300mg CoQ10 twice a day for 2 months and unfortunately was not helped by it...The only thing that works for me is very large amounts of vitamin C...I have started a thread on this and hope others benefit from it...All the best Rolf--Australia

CoQ10 works

Postby Dianna Kemper » Mon Aug 13, 2007 12:35 pm

I have found CoQ10 to be very effective!!! I took it to see if it would help with my energy level but have found it to relieve about 90 % of my pain. I also have rheumatoid arthritis. I have quit my inflammatory drugs completely and feel very good.

Hmm, I hope this thread isn't dead. I have had pain for about 10 years. I tried taking coQ-10 off and on for about a year thinking it might help. No luck so far with 100mg a day. I was just told, within the last two weeks, that I have fibromyalgia. How much are you guys taking? The only thing that seems to work for sleep and pain, not mood, has been 50mg of amitriptyline which I was given for migraines (which doesn’t limit or lessen my migraines). As for fatigue, I just drink a pot or two of coffee a day. Some days or weeks, nothing I’ve found can bring me out of my fog. It gets so bad that I can’t even read. I see the words and I can read each word. I just can’t process them all together. Does that sound normal?

to the person who is drinking a pot of coffee a day. this really isn't going to help with your condition. there are loads of reasons why the caffeine is really bad for you. it might be worth trying to remove it from your diet for a while and see if you feel better.

.....I too used to tkae large handfuls of Vit c daily as it was the only thing that rid me of my chronic sore throat. I have found a supplement that does that but in addition ,it lessens the fatique as well The supplement is from a company in Canada called immunotech.Altho it has not cured me,I am healthier on it . I costs me 200 buck each month but I am going to ask my Dr. to prescribe it and at least get a tax break. It consists of whey protein but is much more concentrated than what you see in stores. Good Luck

I know this post is quite dated. But thought I would add my bit because there are 2 important points that havent been mentioned.

That is:

it is best to take this supplement as a gel, not the dry tablet form, because by the time it's digested by the stomach there is little of the active ingredient left. The gel dissolves straight into the system.

Also it is best to be taking 300 mg a day.

So it could be for these reasons some people have been getting no benefit.

Co-q10 was one of the first supplements I started taking that helped me. I recommend buying from Vitacost.com (no affiliation). The costs for supplements there are great.
