Nitric Oxide - Excess or Deficit?

Hi all,

i'm not sure if the levels of Nitric Oxide (NO) in CFS patients are low or high. According to "Nitric Oxide and its possible role in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia" blog post, CFS patients have high NO levels, however in "Methylation Cycle Block Theory & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" blog author says "Ive thought that i had low nitric oxide levels, because when i take supplements that boost nitric oxide levels (l-arginine, hormone relaxin, etc) i can feel almost normal"


I'm confussed.

This is one of the things that i have been struggling to figure out. Alot of doctors think that most cfs patients have levels of nitric oxide that may be too high. But i dont know if that is necessarily true for all patients.
Doctors think that free radicals have alot to do with chronic fatigue and nitric oxide can generate a potent free radical called superoxide. But the body also needs nitric oxide for dialation of the blood vessels.
From what ive read i think there is alot of variation between the root cause of cfs in patients.
