Flavinox is an herbal supplement recommended by Dr. Martin Pall as a part of the treatment of elevated nitric oxide/peroxynitrite cycle (NO/ONOO- cycle). Dr. Pall believes the NO/ONOO- cycle can be set off by stressors like a viral or bacterial infection, chemical exposure, trauma, or psychological stress. It is proposed to be a main cause of CFS and possibly other diseases like Fibromyalgia, and MCS.
Flavinox contains herbs that have high levels of a compound called flavinoids. Flavinoids may be helpful in treating chronic fatigue syndrome because they inhibit nitric oxide coming from macrophages. They also may be powerful anti-histamines, like the anti-depressant drugs sinequan and elavil, which have history in treating CFS.
Flavinox contains the herbs:
Milk Thistle
Bilberry
Ginkgo
Grape Seed Extract
Green Tea Extract
Cranberry Juice
Hawthorn
Nitric oxide is an important molecule to many bodily functions, but in excess it may lead to a cascade of free radicals that inhibit the mitochondria from making energy properly, increase inflammation, and also may cause damage in tissues throughout the body.
- I wanted to talk about this supplement, because it is very helpful to me personally.
Since the first few days that i started taking flavinox, i havent had a single bad nights sleep (but i still do take klonopin for sleep).
My concentration also improved quite a bit. I am still alot of ups and downs, when i get a cold or maybe have certain things that i shouldnt (especially alcohol). But, i’m seeing a slow steady improvement so far and hopefully, i will continue to have improvement.
Also this fits along well with the other supplements that improve my symptoms like sublingual B12, NAC, and CoQ10. Which also may inhibit nitric oxide.
Ive been here before, so i dont want to get my hopes up. But i think im moving in the right direction.

I can’t take this because of the milk thistle. I gave it a good try, but the milk thistle makes me ill. I don’t need that!!( smile) I have taken the separate components other than the milk thistle and done well. The gingko biloba is excellent for brain function!!The hawthorn is great too.
I have several articles that describe milk thistle in a negative manner. This is contrary to what you normally read. The milk thistle actually protects the liver so it doesn’t do it’s job properlu. Therefore the toxins go into the blood stream. I know this is quite different, but it seems to apply in my case.
