Immune modualtion is thought to be the mode of action of Kutapressin one of the earliest modes of treating CFS / ME. Today Kutapressin has been superceded by Hepapressin and Nexavir.
The treatment together with Immunoprop and vitamine B12 is thought to rectify abnormalities in the methylation cycle.

This closely links to the ideas of Trevor Marshall, and the Marshall Protocol, in which the nuclear Vitamin D receptor (VDR) switched back on by drug intervention. The VDR is a primary activation switch for the intracellular immune system.
