I had CFS since 1991. In the first years of this illness I have tried 21 different kinds of medication. At first my doctor referred me to a psychiatrist not believing in CFS. I have tried Ritalin and I thought I was going to die. Many CFS patients have adverse effects with medication. So I had all the opposite good effects with Ritalin. I was more tired, my cognitive functions were diminished..and many more effects. I could not imagine being more tired than I was. So I say to CFS patient to be very careful of what medication you try. If you do want to try, start with a minimal dose.
